| Guess what! I didn't even receive the 400 points which was worth 40 cents, the email said earn UP TO 400 points. I was awarded 180 points, or 18 cents for a complete fully answered survey. So far on other surveys I have not been awarded the UP TO amount always a miniscule few points, bear in mind each point is worth 1/10th of a cent. I am annoyed because synovate has sweeps which I always accepted & I realize the extra points are a bonus but with all this hype about their miniscule points it is an insult. You need 1,000 points to redeem $10. Good bye synovate. |

Lea: I am in the same boat...I did 3 surveys for them this past week. One of the survey invitations read: "Up to 300 reward points..."; one said "up to 200 points..." & the last one, "...up to 100 points"...
I got NO POINTS on the first 2, so, sent an e-mail to ask about it. I received their standard form reply related to user name/password...nothing to address my questions.
I completed the last survey (which read "up to 100 points"...) & received an immediate credit of 10 POINTS...! I didn't calculate the dollar value of each point, like you did; and, now that I know what they are worth, I doubt that I'll hang around too long!
It would take a lot of 10-pointers to reach the 5,000-point redemm level.
Very disappointing!

Clare, it took a few weeks for the synovate REWARD? points to be awarded. Be patient, you can count on the fabulous 10 points (1 cent) for each survey. Not worth the record keeping or hype. Don't count on it to change your lifestyle. A big disappointment. I think synovate thinks we are too stupid to figure it out. The word REWARD looks good but a reward of what? I have noted that survey companies that offer sweeps send out a large amount of surveys because their rewards are pitiable & they are limited to their sweeps. It seems the only reliable survey companies are the ones that pay $ or offer credible points. Not this hype about nothing. |

I spoke to someone at the company on the phone yesterday. I was having website problems and also told them that their point system stinks. I have been a member quite awhile now and gave up doing only survey entries for any company a long time ago. I did get some surveys that paid and quite a few product tests. So I will stick with them awhile and see what happens. |

| Synovate finally awarded the UP TO POINTS for completed surveys. The most I received for one detailed survey was 400 points which is worth 40 cents. If disqualified I received 10 points worth 1 cent. I calculated my accumulated points vs Global Test Market including the disqualified surveys & the completed ones & I came to $2.50 with Synovate plus a chance of a sweep vs Global Test Market approx $32 with no questionable sweep. Global paid 5 points worth 25 cents for disqualified surveys & approx $2.50 a survey if qualified. No comparison. I've done $32 worth of work for Synovate for $2.50. The only equalizer would be to win a sweep. I'm using synovate as an example but I find this to be true with the sweep companies. I've given up on sweeps. |

Well, I'm about ready to dump all the sweeps surveys, also. I'm thinking they are a big waste of my time.
As for Synovate, I'm about half-way to the pitiful $5 cash-out, so, will probably hang in there until I reach that point. It is somewhat deflating, however, to know they are rewarding you with 10¢-40¢ for those long surveys! |

Clare, I am also halfway to the $5 reward. Am ambivalent about continuing. I resent giving them another $30 worth of surveys for $2.50. Not sure, but I may continue to the $5 reward & then definitely stop. I have discontinued sweeps on Ipsos & Greenfield, still doing some on Survey Spot because they pay well for $ surveys but am cutting down.

| My husband just completed a supposedly 10 minute survey for synovate for 200 points which is worth a magnificent 20 cents. It involved a detailed survey on various products, graphics, grids, comments, etc, etc, etc. It was definitely 2 lengthy involved surveys in one. All for 200 points or 20 cents with a questionable sweepstake. He was furious. Synovate can't lose. |

| I joined synovate about 5 months ago and the surveys ARE pretty long, they did send me a 5.00 check last month, as a thank you. I guess i keep it a little bit longer and see what happens. |

Got a $20 check in the mail today for a survey I participated in months ago. I had already given up any hope of receiving it. I was pleasantly surprise. I'm not giving up on them just yet! |

Ive been a member of Synovate for about 6 months, i've done several surveys for them , but when i go to check the rewards page, it does not show how many points i have, i emailed them about it and they said they were having site problem, should be fixed soon, thats been about two months ago. Husband just did another one for 3600 points but it still does'nt show. Anybody else have this problem? Received a $5.00 check from them about two months ago as a thank you. |

| PatriciaD Are you certain it was 3600 points which is worth $3.60. The most I have been rewarded is 360 points which is worth a mere 36 cents, 100 points is worth 10 cents, a pittance. Very frustrating low reward site. 5000 points is worth $5. I have 4000 points worth $4 for numerous surveys which would have been worth much more on other sites. I may stay to reach 5000 points which is worth $5 & then goodbye Synovate. This is similar to a sweeps site with the additional reward of miniscule points. I have stopped doing sweeps & Synovate will be next unless they change their reward system. It should be 100 points worth $1 not 10cents. |

More kudos for GlobalTestMarket. Received a survey from them for Synovate, did not quality but received 5 points (worth 25 cents). If I had received this survey directly from Synovate & not qualify I would receive 10 points (worth 1 cent) + questionable sweep. I think Synovate awards more points which looks good but you need to compute their actual value. You tell me which is better GlobalTestMarket which I love or Synovate. Do the math!

| Just received email from Synovate that they are doubling their reward points. As far as I am concerned double of practically nothing is nothing. I guess they think doubling sounds good & that we can't add. Do the math! I have reached my 5000 points have requested my $5 & probably that will be that unless they really begin offering valuable points. They are probably just sweeps & offer points as extra, unfortunately not rewarding for me. |

I requested my $5 on the 16th this month, also. I have received payments from them before, but, don't remember how long it took for it to come.
I'm not sure I will continue with them...have to see about that. |

| I do think the Feds should be investigating these survey companies however, as their advertising states you can make good money from them, and as these posts show, NO one is making anything other than maybe a $5 check from once/twice a year or a refrig magnet. I believe that is called false advertising on their part... |

I agree but don't know what they could do about it.
It must be a gold mine for these companies because I am sure they make a ton off the sheer volume of surveys supplied to the companies they contract with. |

| I have solved the problem of questionable sweeps. Now I only do surveys for $ or large worthy points. I like about 5 survey companies, 5 additional are questionable & I no longer do the other abusive ones. Pinecone is the best. |

| Not sure if they are getting more generous or what but I just qualified for and completed a personal finance survey from them that awarded 11,000 points, which would equate to $11. It only took me probably 10-15 minutes to complete. That was by far the most points I've ever gotten from them for a single survey. Also, I sent an email to them yesterday about a survey problem I had and got a satisfactory response back the next day. Maybe they're feeling the heat from the more competitive survey companies out there. |
