| The number 13 to me is bad in general. I was 13 when I got caught shoplifiting for the first and last time. 13 years later I was arrested for drunk driving. Then on October 13, 2000 (Friday) I lost my job at UPS. |

| I did business pretty much as norm yesterday with getting use to the new $%!& computer that I have. Not brand new but certainly a step up. It felt like Friday the 13th lol. One thing you can blame the day when you do stupid-a$$ stuff like drop several pages of a report right into a big old puddle. |

LOL Colleen! I had David on Friday the 13th, 1992. He's a joy, and seems to be the "good luck" one ;-). |

| Business as usual here. I wonder where the tradition of it being unlucky came from. |

Not sure if all of this had to do with Friday the 13th.,but I am almost willing to bet that it did.I did a demo on the 13th.First of all my flimsy cardboard table provided by the agency collapsed with my crockpot on it.There was soup and broken crockpot splattered all over the store floor. I went out to my car to retrieve my trusty card table from the trunk. One of the table legs fell off. I also retrieved my electric skillet from the trunk. Guess what? The control gadget had oh so conveniently been left at home.Home was an 84 mile roundtrip. What to do? I bought a new card table for 35 dollars and a new electric skillet for 25 dollars. After all of that the rest of my day went just fine. |

I am not in the least superstitious, however, I was struck while riding a bicycle on August, Friday the 13th, 1982. PS I got up, and cried over my broken bicycle all the way home. |

| My dad's birthday is on Friday the 13th this year. He always likes it when it falls on a Friday. He thinks it is kind of funny since everyone else always makes a big deal about it being a "bad" day. At least everyone should remember his birthday this year! |

| My twin sons were born on (Good) Friday the 13th, 2001. Now they are turning 6 tomorrow on Friday the 13th. It used to be bad luck for me, but since they came, Friday the 13th always seems lucky. |

Oh boy!, I don't mean to put a damper on everyone elses' "good" Friday 13th, but mine was a bad one. I've never really had a bad one before. First, my youngest son(12) had 3 bad nose bleeds. It has been happening for about 2 weeks off and on. I called the Dr. about the nose bleeds and achy muscles and knees he's been having and they said I needed to bring him in next week. They said he could have a dry nose, high blood presure or because of the sudden onset of those combination of symptoms it could be possible that he may have developed lukemia(sp). Wouldn't want to scare me, now, would they?
Then I get a call that my uncle has cancer in his left lung, attached to the bottom of his esophagus, in his liver, 3 spots in his brain, stage 3 emphazema(sp?) and severe bronchitis. Starting Monday, he has to do radiation 5 days a week for 3 months and after that is finished he has to have Chemo(don't know the durration). He is only 47. Also, my great uncle, who lives with the 1st uncle found out that he has cancer in his colon, stomach & bladdar...and has to have treatments as well. He is 75.
AND, my aunt(sister of the 1st uncle) has cancer and is not expected to live much longer. It was a very fast moving cancer and has covered her entire body. She is only 52.
It's been a rough few days since.
