I love NIS and in-Store because the work is regular every week and the checks are like clockwork.

I agree with you about NIS I never have a problem with my regular pay! Itis always on time! However, I do have a problem with my DM not paying me for extra pay promised and extra time worked! The only way I finally get paid is to contact her manager! this has been a regular thing with her! Aside from that they have been good and consistent!

I really do prefer to work for the company directly instead of a merchandising company. The work is always easier and pay is much better.

I like SMP Jessica and Liz are great. Jessica is really the greatest. Pay comes like clock work . Assignments are easy. I had never done merchandisiing until now and I love working with Jessica. Anytime I call she is right there and always understanding

Right now I am working for four companies...I'm glad to be back with Crossmark (after being out of merchandising for 6 years). I have a great manager who just came down and trained me yesterday and I can tell that I will enjoy working for her.

I also work for Driveline (Archway) and so far I am enjoying working in the stores and on the projects I have.

The other two companies are just 2-4 hours per month so it is hard to really give an opinion of them.

I do regular merchandising work for 3 different companies, and I LOVE EACH OF THEM...the reason???? EACH of my DMs/RMMs are WONDERFUL PEOPLE who STAND UP FOR THEIR REPS!!!! Sometimes that's hard to put a price on!!!

Those companies are: Premium Retail Services, National Music Rack, and News America Marketing. The pay is good to very, very good on each of them. One pays mileage and one pays drive time. The other just pays very well for the work and the time involved.

But like I said, EACH of my DMs/RMMs are WONDERFUL PEOPLE!! And for me, THAT counts for A LOT!!! I know I have the support/help I need, and that it's just a phone call or email away!!!

Do these companies offer ongoing weekly services? Do any of these companies offer travel pay or mileage? Are you paid ? per hour or project based flat fee?
Thanks,

I'm in MS. If you don't mind me asking what companies do you merchandise for directly? I perform regular weekly service for a company and I love merchandising but my hours have been cut back to like 10-15 hours a week. This is my soul income. Can you help me get back on track with a good company?
Thanks,

D - Check out this thread:
http://forum.volition.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=75764

Then search the companies here and/or the NARMS website.

Then come back here and search the Feedback thread on that company.

You might end up working for a few turkeys before you find the work that's perfect for you, but any work is better than living in a cardboard box and eating at soup kitchens

Take care -

I like ATA Retail and Mosaic because I am an employee and I am not required to do a route of stores. I stay in my town and I have steady work every week that I an count on. I also like Certified, AM Connections and Merchandising Solutions Group because as an IC I can fill in the slack hours and I can incorporate the drive time and mileage in with the rrgular stuff. All of these companies have great people to work with too.

It's been almost a year since the last posting here. With the economy and merchandising companies changing, going out of business etc. I would like to ask what are the companies that you still work for that you like and why? Thanks for any info,it helps me to know which companies i want to put in an application.

I work for Channel Partners, Spar, Convergence and Certified. I pick up some work for other companies to 'fluff' my work schedule. Channel Partners is probably my favorite, due to amount of regular work. Spar is regular work, I do dvd jobs, not as good of pay. Convergence is good paying with decent $$/project and DD regularly. Certified is not the best of paying, $$ or timing, but is self-assigning to be able to add to other work in the area. I would strongly recommend Channel Partners to anyone with some experience. Their work is sometimes not the super easy that Certified's jobs are.

I passed your name and number along to my RM again, sorry I don't have Joanne's info. I know they are quite busy right now, due to starting new clients and get them covered. We only have a 4 day window to cover 700 locations, and that's just in my region.

I love working for Convergence. Anytime there is a problem even if it is their fault, they are always willing to pay or do whatever it takes to make their reps happy! I also travel a few states for them and they are always there to accommodate me. After reading a thread on what to expect to be paid, I also know that I get paid very well for my work.

I have been there less than a year and they already place a lot of trust in me. There was an incident where another rep couldn't make it to help me and I was asked to do the assignment by myself. Ever since then I have been treated with a ton of respect. I brought a friend on board to help me with some traveling assignments, they trusted me to train him even though he had no experience. If you work hard for this company, you will get noticed! Managers are just great! I have never met one who wasn't willing to bend over backwards for me. Work is a little slow at first, once you get in with a reset or two, you will have turn away work from them because they have you doing another job!

I have never had a problem with this company and this winter I am attending college, but they are more than accommodating to that and are still trying to find me work! I can't find a bad thing to say about them.

Although other people on this site had a problem, I have always found TURNS Inc to be very good to me. Pay is nice for the work. I also feel like I could call the scheduler anytime I need help.

We are currently working a test project for RCMarketing, hubby has been working for them for almost 2 years as an IC. This project pays $45.00 by location and sometimes may take over an hour to complete (every 3rd visit) and $27.50 each location weekly, most days we can get 6 or 7 locations done and work 6 days a week.

Good paying gig but hubby worked hard for this position!

We also still work a small maintenance project for Courtland Associates (one day a week that pays good, no problems with them either!
