Happy Easter Gals!

I will be having my daughter, son-in-law and Baylor and Mason for Easter dinner. Thats about all the family we have here! I sure hope Zoey is better as I remember all too well those days of sick kids and especially on holidays. Now i can just send them home to mom!
Darlene... sounds like you have a nice little trip planned and I hope it goes well. Boy I don't know how you keep up with all that shopping!
My schedule had actually been a little slow and then I am going to San Diego in April for 10 days to see my mom and sisters. One of my sisters is alos a shopper so thats kind of fun. Our other sister gets sick of us talking about it all. I do have a few shops for April but am waiting for my coffee company to post. Last year I also did Caribou and loved that but those shops have disappeared!

The 30th does not work for me as we have had plans for a long time on that date.
I still hope the three of us can still get together maybe this spring when Darlene is over this way.
Well Happy Easter and happy spring (47 today here) to you both

I have a bunch of shops scheduled for tomorrow and the week end and now two of us have got the flu also. I never get sick so must have run into someone along the way who passed it on. I did go out today but really shortened my day. Now have to go tomorrow to make the ones up I didn't get done today. I sure hope the rest of the week gets better. I sure don't want to have to contact all the schedulers to tell them I am sick.

I have never had to cancel a whole run especially this late in the month. It makes it hard for the schedulers I know.

The flu really is bad this year, even with the vaccine. Zoe's been really sick since last Friday now. I know it probably does not help you to hear that, but if it is the actual flu, they have a medication for it now. I think it's called Terma Flu or something. The doctor told us about it the other day. Check it out if you don't feel better soon.
Here is to a seedy recovery!
(don't germs know we have to work?!?!?)

Dianne, San Diego sounds so much more fun than MN right now!!!
What's up with the snow coming down like crazy these days? there's another 3 to 6 inches announced for Thursday night. Ted told me March was the snowiest month but I never wanted to believe him. Well as much as I hate to admit it, I guess he was right!
Brrrr...Can't wait for Spring!

Actually, I can't wait to be walking again!

Hi Gals'
Just wondering if everyone survived the snowy Easter. We had 9 1/2 inches here on Friday! I just returned from a walk and it was not too warm out there. I just wanted to see how Zoey was and also your house Darlene. That flu is nasty and so late this year.
I went to visit an aunt of mine yesterday in St. Paul and did shops along the way. Other than that I have a quiet week. Baylor is doing great and nurses constantly. My daughter is the most patient and calm person that I know. Mason is adjusting very well and calls him "captain chubby cheeks" which he is. They had him out the other day and someone that stopped to admire him thought he was 3 months instead of the 3 weeks!
Have a great week and stay well and think warm. (My sister said it was 80 for Easter in San Diego...hope it keeps that up as there weather can also be cool)

Hi! Two of us still are not quite up to par but we both had shops to do so went anyways. We started out on the Eastern side of the state on Friday and did over 20 shops. The last ones were in Paynesville Friday. Then Friday night headed to Ham Lake where we started Sat. morning. Went as far North as Crosslake and ended up in Onamia where we stayed at the Casino Hotel for night. Got up Sunday morning and went down to the Buffet after we checked out and came home. I think between the three of us we spent $20.00 on machines as we walk past them. We just went to bed Sat. night. My laptop would not work there so could not work on reports. Could
not get on line.
We ran in snow most of the day Friday and Sat. but Sunday was beautiful.
Had planned to take this week off but ended up doing some highly bonuses Banks today and tomorrow. Taking rest of week off.????
Servanne, are you going to the cities on Sunday?

Hey Girls!

Thanks for asking about Zoe, she is doing better. However, we had to take Adele to the hospital on Saturday...She got what her sister had, except that hers turned into a nasty asthma attack. So we have to nebulize them both three times a day until they stop coughing. Loads of fun!!

Dianne, it's great to hear that Baylor is doing well. They gorw so fast when they're that little, it's just amazing to see the progress they make every day. "Captain Chubby Cheeks"!!! Tell Mason that is very cute!

Darlene, sorry to hear you still have the flu. So did you guys win any money while passing by those slot machines?!?! Do you know who shops Grand Casino, because if you don't, I could tell you the company. You could make a hefty fee plus reimbursement of your hotel next time! Let me know. (you too Dianne, if you want to shop the casinos around here!)

I think I may be going toward the Cities on Sunday, but it will be for shopping. No shopper meet-up for me, I don't think. If I can fit it in, I might, but I highly doubt it. I am waiting on a scheduler to contact me back on some bonused shops. Can't promise anything.

Well I have to feed the kiddos. We're having "salmon dogs". It's like hot dogs, but with salmon instead, so the kids are tricked into eatign fish! Got that on a shop...I don't think I would spend my own money on something that expensive...

Have a good week!

Hi Servanne

I do know who shops the Grand Casinos but have been afraid to request one. Although I love to gamble I just do the slots and was afraid you would have to interact with dealers at the tables.

Oh, those neb treatments. Ive done many of them.. not with my own kids but I am a retired nurse and worked peds alot in a clinic.
Hope the are all better soon..maybe if spring ever came!

The casino shops do want you to interact with aone dealer. But you also have to bring someone with you, as there are 9 interactions to remember. So if you Hubby knows a little about blackjack, then he can interact with the dealer while you make the observations. That's what we do, as I am a terrible table gambler (but a real slot addict!!).

If spring ever came... With that snow storm on the way for tomorrow night, I wonder if the grass will ever turn green again! Oh well, as long as we all feel better and the flu goes away, I guess I'll take any weather!

Did you two get the snow up there last night? We had about an inch but it all melted today. I have a shop to do at Blue Earth tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM. She called me yesterday and offered an extra $50.00 if I could go there and then to Mankato another $50.00. I have to go to Sams Club tomorrow anyway to get groceries, paper and ink so took her up on it. I should be all done by 9:00 AM and have the rest of the weekend off.
It does not look like I will be going to the cities now on Sunday. I have been running so much this month I just need to sit back for a weekend and do nothing.
I traded cars less then a month ago and am needing the third oil change already.
Servanne, How are your girls doing? I am starting to feel better but just do not have any energy yet. I can't believe how much steam that flu takes out of a person. I have even been taking a nap in the afternoons when home which I never do otherwise.

Hey Darlene!

We did not get the snow on Wednesday. It's been pretty mild up here, and everything is melting. Yeah!

Sounds like you scored a jackpot regardless!! (ah ah, funny casino joke... ) I'd rather shop than go to a meeting anytime when a $50 bonus is attached to not one but two shops! LOL!
I am going on a route of gas shops over the week-end. Nothing extraordinary like you do Darlene, but I have 32 stops plus 6 other shops. Should keep me busy!
The girls are doing better. Seems like they're ready to kill eachother again. That's a good sign, isn't it? I hope you feel better soon too. The flu this year is quite ferocious. Don't overwork yourself though.
Well, I have to hit the road, so have a good week-end.

You too Dianne!

That sounds like a full schedule to me. I usually just try to mix a few Gas Stations in with the rest of my routes. Helps to pay for the gas expenses.
Are you two suppose to be getting snow again tomorrow. I don't have any shops scheduled until Tuesday night and Wed. Hopefully it will quite snowing by that time.
Have you heard from anyone who was at the gathering in the cities today? Have not heard from Lisa so don't know yet how mnany showed up. Hope they had a good turn-out.
Have to go get taxes done tomorrow. Could be interesting.

Happy Spring!!

Yes Darlene we are supposed to get 4-6 and possibly another 2-4 tonite. I am so sick of it. I didnt have any shops scheduled today but was supposed to meet some friends tonight for dinner. We already decided to reschedule for next Monday. I have been walking outside and all the snow was gone. I may just stay in my PJ's today.

Servanne 32 shops in one day sound like alot to me too. You gals just travel further than i do I guess.

As far as the taxes Darlene This year my husband said he doesn't
think its worth it as I had a loss again but I enjoy it so much.

Well stay warm today and we will wish for better things in April!

Well it was not 32 shops in ONE day, it was in THREE days, so it's not that amazing. But then again, 32 turned into 41. And we're not talking only 5 minutes reporting gas shops... I was at it all day yesterday!!!
We did our taxes as part of a shop, that helped swallow the pill... For my first year as a "business owner" I actually showed a nice profit, so that's encouraging.

I am so tired of the snow already. My goodness, enough is enough!!! I am going back to the surgeon's next week and I really don't know what is going to be said. I can walk around the house using only one crutch, or none at all, but only for a few minutes. We'll see on Wednesday. I am not very good at waiting without knowing!

Have a good week Ladies!

Hi you two. I just waved at both of you today as I was going through your towns. There was something going on in Silver Lake when we went through. All kinds of ambulances, cop cars and saw one fire truck. They were just leaving town and heading west on HWY 7 when we got to Silver Lake. Even had to pull over so one could pass us heading east when we left Hutchinson.
I did 40 shops today over in your neck of the woods. Broke my own personal record of shops in one day. Just got home about midnight and left home at 7:30 this morning. Am glad today is over. Made good money but not sure if worth it. I am so tired so reports will wait until tomorrow and Monday. Have 48 hours to get them done. Three of them have to done in 24 hours so will do them first thing tomorrow morning.

You crazy woman!!!!! 40 shops! That's just insane! My most in one day was 26, but that was on the road too, like you do, so it takes longer from one point to the other. That was also the most money I have ever made in one day. $1950 Boy, I wish I could do that again every month!
I had 11 shops today and went to the Mall of America, so I missed all the action here in Silver Lake. I wonder what happened... I'll call my EMT friend tomorrow morning!
We had one of the worst dinners ever tonight. The server came to our table after 25 minutes being seated and asked if we were getting hungry yet. I said yes. She smiled and said well it won't be long, and walked away. I called her back, and she asked "what can I do for you?" and I replied "take our order!!!!" The girl had forgotten to take our order, we had two hungry kids with us and when the food got to the table, it was awful. You could see the grease seeping out of the chicken wings, it was disgusting.
Anyways, we came home at 11pm as we took the kids on rides at the mall and I just got done with the reports. I have to go to bed, I have another big day tomorrow.

BTW, Lisa said there were about 7 shoppers who showed up for the meet-up. I will really try to go next month, it sounds like they had a lot of fun.

Darlene, don't you love those great companies that let you report in 48 hours? I have two like that that give me a minimum of 30 days to do the shops, and however long I need to report, as long as it is reasonable. I love working for them!

Well, you two have a good week-end. I am going to bed!

Hi to both of you,
Wow 40 shops in one day and 26 in one day! I guess I am a shopper on a different level. The most I have ever done is 10 but I like to shop from about 9-3 during the week so I guess thats the difference. Sat. I di go out and did 6 but those 6 took me 77 miles and I jus don't know how much it is worth it with the high gas. The problem is I luv doing it....hubby thinks I spend too much gas and too little money to make it worthwhile!! I sure would appreciate any tips you guys have on how you can even get that many shops in one day. I am registered with over 100 companies.

I leave for San Diego Tues for 10 days. It has been in the 70s there
which sounds good to me. One of my sisters is a mystery shopper there so we always like to compare notes too!

Have a wonderful week!

This is a bad day for me to be having a lazy day. I just can hardly get myself to do reports but they need to get done.

Dianne, Have a good trip. I will be leaving the 25th of April to go to Springfield,MO to help my Mom for a few days. Hope to come back on the 29th so can get my schedules ready for May.

I will start getting my SS in May so maybe then I will SLOW down a little. I can't just sit around though or would go NUTS. Even if I was not making any money I still need to be busy. I have worked for so many years I can't just quit. Have always worked for myself in self-employment so when one thing does not work out I go to something else.

Hi Ladies - I thought I would introduce myself here. I live near St. Cloud and have been shopping for about a year - but did very little until about 6 months ago. I still don't do much compared to you guys (I think the most has been 4 in a day). It's partly because this area doesn't have as much as the Twin Cities does, partly because my children are 3 1/2 and 16 months and I haven't had great luck finding shops where they can come. But I enjoy the work and the flexibility MSing offers.

Hi Julie, Nice of you to join us. I was just in Cold Springs Sat. I get up there about once a month. Would be nice if we could all keep in touch. We have a good time just comparing notes. All of us seem to work kind of in the same areas but we do not seem to do any of the same shops so no one is fighting over shops.
Once again, Welcome to our little circle. We will all have to get together sometime when I come that direction or some of you come my way.
