Amber that is so not cool. The two DG's I have I've already talked to them actually last week telling them what is going on with it and that it's not on my schedule to start it until next week. They are both cool with it. However, they would have loved to have gotten them done sooner as they are sick of the stuff sitting in their back room.

Gretta, how did your FD P&G reset go Saturday? I've got my resets coming up this week and my DM is trying to find me a partner; has anyone else done one yet? Thanks for any feedback.....

Jinger the best thing to do is pull all your items off then place strips then tne items in. More than likely the mngrs. have already done the food stuff as they had a big reset to do a well. There are 50 strips to put up.

We also found our manager had already done the food and fabric softener as those were stickers. We only did what our paperwork told us to do which is the laundry (liquid and powder), and dish detergent. We had 4 sections to do and it took us the entire allotted time. They actually had the dish detergent set fairly close to the strips and the powder did not need moved around too much. The liquid is what took forever to do. Plus finding the product to put up was crazy. They had part of it on an end cap. Also much of it is going up in price, but the price in their system has not changed yet to reflect what the strips are saying. I am glad I had some help for this one.

These people still haven't paid me, in spite of numerous phone calls, faxes, email, certified mail, and some really nice people who've assured me that this is "inexcusable" and promise to "cut a manual check." Is it time for an attorney, do you think? They owe me for just about a hundred hours.

Take care -

Sue, get a hold of your DM ASAP. Did they get your new hire paperwork ok? How long have you worked for them?

I've always dealt with Patty in payroll and she really gets things done. I have a question about my payroll last week and need to call her when I get a chance. I have my first spice reset tomorrow and between me and my partner we have 6 stores to do. Then try and work in the apparel resets. Not looking forward to those. My partner also heard that the stores were supposed to do the reset but neither of my managers got that memo.

BTW, did anyone else notice that in the time between the spice job being posted on the schedule page and about 3 days ago they cut the time alloted? Mine was originally for about 210 minutes now down to 150.

While I wait for an answer from my DM, perhaps someone else can answer my question. I visited one of my DG stores today and was told that all future Spice Resets have been cancelled. Can anyone confirm this information.

Marion,

I would check with your DM for confirmation on this. It could be that they are canceled in your area - but not in other areas. I have heard that the store managers were told that if it isn't done by the 12th of September - that they had to do it themselves.

I completed one today (they haven't been on my schedule until this week) - and I'm going in tomorrow to put up the dividers in a store that already did the reset but didn't know how to do the dividers.

The store manager today almost didn't let me do the reset - she claimed I couldn't read planograms because I screwed up the spice reset in another store...only thing is....that isn't my store. She left before I was done - so I plan to check back in with her tomorrow to see if she is pleased with it. She's my "anti-Driveline" manager - thanks to prior reps she had - so I really try hard to make her see that our company is good.

Anyway - check with your DM to see about your stores...that is the best advice I can give you.

I'm also doing my resets this week. I scheduled one for tomorrow and the other for Thursday. I also could not start the spice reset until this week.

There was some confusion because all the DG stores got a memo that spice sets were to be done by the 12th. I rec a memo from DL thru my DM that said this was an error, that only the racetrack stores were to be done by the 12th. DG corp was supposed to send a corrected e-mail to the stores. I haven't had any hassle from my mngrs. I told them in advance approxmuately when I would be doing their stores & tool the LOA in to them last week so thay could have some info on this. I am going to try & get one done by myself this week so I have an idea what is involved. Then I am taking a helper/trainee with me to do 2 more next week. None in this area have been canceled & they are allotted at 300 min. There was also a problem with some stores not wanting us to do the price changes last week because they did not take effect till 9/12. Again DL says that they could be done last week & DG was to send out a memo to the stores telling the mngrs to allow us to change them. When I went in my store today the mngr gave me this "note" printed on the register tape that said just this. She thought it was meant for me but actually it was for her. First time I'ver seen one of these. I think they call it a "blast memo" or something like that. Anyway I didn't have any problems like that, probably because I didn't start them until today.

The only issue I've had so far with the price change is one of my two stores does not have the kit for it. Don't know about the other one as I haven't checked there yet. I'll be asking them tomorrow when I do the spice reset.

It was the "blast memo" that created my problem. Two managers ( from different stores) were talking to each other and they interrepted this memo to mean "do not do the spice resets".....instead of realizing that this memo was directed at the managers , it was misinterrepted to mean "no-one should do the resets". Oh me Oh my!
Its all straightened out and I have two to do this week. I appreciate all the little hints that those of you who have done them have posted. It will surely help, though one store dumped the contents of the boxes into a shopping cart!
