Hi, I see those ads about " Make money from home with your computer" reading e-mails,data processing, bookkeeping, sorting emails.... but they want money. Is it worth the money to obtain the information? Thanks for the feedback. |

As a general rule of thumb, I believe that all "job" offers that ask for money to send you information are scams. If there are any legitimate jobs being offered in this manner, I think it would be like hunting for a needle in a haystack. They word the advertisement in such a way that it sounds like a legitimate job, but when you get the "information" it is often directions to scam others into paying for information, like you just did.
Many of the "get paid to read email" companies have gone under/failed/disappeared. I think there may be some listed here on Volition, which means Ray and/or other members have determined them to be legitimate. I would trust his good judgement and try those companies if I were interested, but I would be extremely cautious of such programs that I might have found elsewhere.

There are some legitimate jobs out there. My favorite website for checking for jobs is www.tjobs.com they used to be a free site but they now charge $10.00 a year to access their database. And if you come across any that do request you to pay for anything tjobs wants to know so they can boot them out. I recently signed up at www.at-homeworks.com cost is $29.97 for 6 months but she has a guarantee that if you don't find the job you want she will extend your 6 month period at do additional cost. There have been a couple of jobs on their recently that I may go for. I currently work from home as a transportation broker but its been a slow summer so I am looking for something I can do a few hours a day, and they have data entry jobs that pay between $9.00-14.00 a hour. www.live-ops.com ( I hope this is righ) is a company that hires operators at home to answer questions on infomericals, I know nothing about them except they pay .25 a minute for each minute talked.

I have a couple of online friends that are working for http://www.workathomeagent.com and are very happy with them. It's kinda like liveops but in my opinion better from the way they were talking about workathomeagent. And here's another really good work at home job site. Mommysplace

Hi. I was just wondering what you thought was better about Work at Home Agent as opposed to LiveOps? I am thinking about applying to one or both, but if you had some info as to why you liked one better than the other I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Julie |

I work for work at home agent. What your questions? I have been working there since June and wouldn't trade it for the world!

Well I was wondering what the average pay really worked out to be. At 17 cents a minute you could make around $10 an hour, but you probably are not on the phone the entire time. Also, can you work shifts you are not scheduled if you have free time open up?
Thanks.

It really depends on the pay. The pay rate for the programs goes from 17 cents to 30 cents. I make an average 100-300 bucks a week. As for working shifts that you are not scheduled, no you can't. You can only work shifts you scheduled. But, if you have free time and you see a shift you can pick up, do that. The computer system will not let you work if you are not scheduled. Let me know if you have any other questions. I just applied to LiveOps as well. I am now waiting for my app to be reviewed.

Hi Jennifer; Could you give me an idea of what exactly it is your doing? For example, do you receive these calls from Work At Home Agent on you regular phone line? When you choose a schedule, then you need to remain at your phone during those hours? Lastly, without specifics, what are the majority of your calls about? I ask the last question, only because when I went to the site to find out information, they stated that some calls could be regarding items that may be considered Rated R or even X. While I don't think I'm a prude, I'm just curious if you've encountered anything out of the ordinary or off the wall. Thanks! |

I've worked at workathomeagent and liveops for almost three years now. I prefer workathomeagent only because they give you more opportunites or more lines to work. LiveOps just has the "infomercial" line while workathomeagent has a cell phone line, two homeshopping networks, and many others. LiveOps per min rate starts at .25 while workathomeagent starts at .17. However, I've noticed that its better to sign up with workathomeagent for hours b/c you get more calls. My calls mostly come back to back with workathomagent, with LiveOps its a significant wait between calls like 3-5mins, but this can vary by agent b/c they base it on your performance. I do log in at LiveOps only when there are no workathomeagent hours to log in for. I'm certified on three lines at workathomeagent. They start you off at DR or the infomercials then send you emails inviting you to participate in other lines. The calls are routed to your home number, only when your logged in and its best to have DSL or Cable, however I think you can have two dial up lines. You sign up for hour shifts and you are requred to remain at your phone for those hours. There are calls that are X rated. Things like GG Wild and those pills that are suppose to make the men more, well ya know. LOL.
I know both companies very well so if any of you have any questions about either one please dont hesistate to email me candace@iglide.net |

| I have taken the X rated calls. Mostly I have taken call for Playboy. I have gotten some GG wild though. It's a great company to work for. I have applied at live ops but they haven't gotten back with me. I work for DR, HSN and Pizza Hut and at WAHA. You get a vast array of hours to choose from usually. And the pay goes from 17 cents to 35 cents / minute you are on a call. Let either of us know if you have any more questions. |

I have applied to both Work at home agent and Liveops. With Work at home agent I have passed all their tests and I am waiting for the One on One. However its been almost 3 weeks but I have received no communication about it. I set the times and they passed already. How long does it take from the time you pass the tests to the One on one interview. I emailed them but have gotten no response. It has also been about 3 weeks since I applied to live ops and the site still says my application is still being processed. How long does it take for them to process the application? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

| I would call them. Thats what I had to do. You still have to pass a background check also. When they send you the contract then you will know that you passed the background check. |

Krissy Thank you, do you happen to have their phone numbers? I have looked on their sites but cannot find the # to both Work at home agent and LiveOps. If there is anyone who has either # please email me.
Thanks |
