I was posting under the correct company, I interviewed for the Quakers, Tropica Team, that is Advantage Sales and Marketing. |

| Thought this was interesting,i just talked to two other Advantage workers who came into one of the stores and (who work on other products) i was working in and they said Advantage doubled their routes. They were told by Advantage that they couldn't find anyone to fill the position but that they can't get over time getting them done,but that they had to get all the stores done. I'm glad i have a nice DM for what i do. I takes me working 40 hours a week to get mine done,there's no room for any more in my schedule. |

Kelly, no news yet. I should hear something before the end of the week. And this is for convenience stores- not the big store like you have. I'd rather have big stores.  |

| I received word that Advantage Sales and Marketing is hiring Demonstators (Event Specialists) for Wal*Mart/Sams Clubs; and possibly other retail chains in the future. Does anyone have any details on this? Any info would be appreciated. |

Check out the last posting for Campaigners Inc., That's the company you're looking for to work at Wao Marts and Sam's Clubs. I'm sure of this at my area, not sure about other areas.
Another company at works under them is Marketration they do Special Events at grocery stores, not food demos. But this company uses a team and work a county doing all stores as a team even travel at times. Like they hired a few of us and instead of calling us..... a team (6-8) from LA drove 4hrs one way, motel stay. One reason is they use a Team Lead/Supervisor. At least least two people work together and one is a Team Lead. |

Kamy, Advantage does hire demonstrators- at least in Illinois. Here is a link to their webpage with more info:

I interviewed with them for food demo at Sam's Club. As I recall, hours were 12 to 28 per week, Thursday through Sunday. |

| Kamy-I think it depends on where you live when working for Advantage Sales and Marketing. I work in Sams Club in this area(Sandusky,Ohio, and it is Crossmark that has the demos. Hope that helps. |

| Anyone getting any work from the self assign board? Nothing showing up for me. I was busy doing the Raid racks for an few weeks and then they went dead. |

The demos are divided geographically between companies, such as Advantage and Crossmark. They get essentially the same assignments at Super Walmarts. The smaller Walmarts do not have demos and I don't know about Sam's Club demos. I think the boxes are shipped out from the same company. In my area, Advantage has the Walmart demos. Occasionally, another company will come in and use Walmart carts or they may have a contract to use Advantage carts. |

| Is anybody on the Retail Project Team seeing anything on your dashboard in the new system? I have only seen two jobs listed and they were 100 miles away. Even when we still used natural insight I have had next to nothing the past two months. I'm wondering if the new DM assigns jobs to certain people? do they do that with the project team? |

| Same thing here. I've gotten 1 project from the new JET site. It's been 3 months with barely anything at all. This has greatly effected my income as I always use to have steady work. I too have been thinking someone in my area is getting assigned the work. I'm on there all day long checking and there is nothing showing up. |

Everyone must be in the same boat. I have two jobs to complete, the first since May.
Since they demand faxing in your work, and you can't use a e-mail fax, my work does not cover the cost of the home phone line, that I would not have if it weren't for faxing in work.
Beginning to think it is just not worth the hassle. |

You can use eFax. It still costs $10.00 but it's cheaper than a phone line, I think. A while back they stated that you couldn't use eFax but I have never had any problems with using it. The department receiving the faxes doesn't know what you are using to fax your paperwork. I just adjusted the settings for the scan to 75 ppi .tif file....works great! |
