| At least they're upfront about it though. At least I know what I need to do to get the shop. It looks like a lot more of the "good" shops were added today, or just more shops for the same location. |

| I'm curious on the good shop what the reimbursement is for. It appears there is no fee, just reimbursement. Are they specific in what you must purchase? What if it's something I don't want? |

Camille,
Basically you pick out whatever you want to purchase. I got one of these yesterday. There are 2 restrictions on what you can purchase, but they are low priced items that I did not even think about purchasing. |

| I,too, spoke with a scheduler for CT about the good jobs. He also stated the ones who took the electronics jobs would be getting first choice of the good jobs. I explained I didn't feel that was fair since the electronic jobs were too far for the money being paid in my area.I reminded him of the number of these good jobs I had previously done. He couldn't explain the differences among the types of transactions listed. He said they hadn't been notified about them. Now I'll have to wait and see if I get any that I indicated I could do!! |

I no longer shop for Bestmark. They are not responsive to problems and the pay is horrible. Not worth my time nor frustration.

I'm excited because I just got one of the "easy, fun" shops. I helped them out with a shop at one of the local airports as I just happened to have a business trip that day. The airport shop was fun and easy.
I have a question about the reimbursement for the "easy, fun" shops. Someone said you get to pick out pretty much what you want. Are you limited to one item or can you choose several less expensive items that don't exceed the amount of reimbursement. Also, how difficult are the shops to perform? Anyone have an estimate as to the time it takes to complete?
Thank you in advance for any information.
P.S. - I have a new scheduler at BestMark and she seems to be a real sweetie. I have labored through several of the "large, electronic store" shops - maybe all my hard work is now paying off!!! |

You can choose as many or as few items as you want - your choice. There are 2 small items that you are not allowed to buy and, as usual, you can't buy gift cards.

Lisa,
I've had some that took less than 20 minutes and some that took closer to an hour... it really just depends. Block out at least an hour for this. (Most have fallen at about 30 minutes) In the past, I've been allowed to bring my children along with me. Check with your scheduler if that's a concern for you. Sometimes I do, but most of the time I don't.

It's unfortunate that they are using the Electronics shops as a carrot to wave in front of us.
One thing I can see potentially happening is that they get a lot of flakes.
The good shoppers, who for whatever reason, will not do the Electronics shop and the fun retail will go to whoever.
I think they should be assigned based on history of performance and reliability. But then, it's not my company to run.
I'll just sit here and wait for someone else to flake on the company and pick up the fun retail then. If not, oh well. It's not the end of the world and still not worth it for me to do the other shops just get one. |

The fun shops are promised contingent upon completing a "less desirable" shop and are not actually allocated until the first shop is completed and accepted as OK by Bestmark. If you flake on the first shop you are just not allocated a "good" shop. Not to say there won't be "good shops" left over but that's not a guarantee. |

| I just signed up for three of the electronic store shops (I average 5 to 6 of them a month) and I can't even request one of the other jobs! Should I just contact the scheduler and request one? |

Defintely contact your scheduler. Maybe they are not available in your area or maybe they are available but not posted on the job board. Your scheduler is the best person to know. |

I have shopped for bestmark for a very long time. I do not do the electronic shops for them. They are not worth the time. But I have never had a problem being offered the fun shops. I love them. I also have always been paid quickly when I do them. The associates get really excited also. Thats the best part. And the look on the faces of those that you come in contact with over and over who just ignore you. |

I have done two of the electronic shops, one was a business dept and the other a compliance check my son did. I was actually suprised that my 15 year old was able to buy the DVD and that I went through 8 people in the business dept shop and finally after 35 minutes threw in the towel. The pay was not high, but I was doing other shops in the same building. I know I have e-mail's saying I am on A list twice now, but we will see what comes of it. The scheduler did mention the name of the store and the new location is going to open here within the next couple weeks, so...hopefully my AA will get me someplace |

In the e-mail response from the scheduler. I have not taken it as gospel, it was just promised in an e-mail. I realize a lot of things are said at the end of the month and I still plan on paying my dues through diligence and good quality reports. |

You Michael I hope you get the "good" shops. They are definitely a nice reward for taking some of the less attractive shops. I actually like the hardware shops in my area. They are well staffed with good employees and are a breeze to do. |

| I have done a couple of the hardware also, one store was so perfect it was incredible, the other was at the opposite end of the spectrum. I have two for end of month or beginning of October, but when I tried to schedule others within my reach it said I had reached my daily and/or monthly limit. Even with a phone call shop that would only be like 4-5 shops at all different locations within 45 days, so it seemed a little restrictive. |

| I love their reporting system. I find the site easy to navigate, the questions direct and to the point and I love the narrative on the side of the page, directly next to the questions. You have all of your information right there so you don't miss anything. The scheduler I deal with has been fantastic. The fees they pay are the same as the other companies for the amount of work, as a matter of fact, one of them is a few dollars higher. |

Michael When you log in you should see a rather confusing list of how many more shops you can take in each overlapping period. If you reach the maximum, contact your scheduler. They are sometimes able to give you additional shops. Also, the client may have a limit on the number of assignments a shopper can take in one month and some have rotation requirements. Once again, contact the scheduler and they'll explain what has happened. |
