A balmy 39 degrees with a wind chill of 33 in this part of the Carolinas.

Why don't they just call it 33? If it feels 33, then it might as well be 33!

Sunny and frigid (33 degrees) here in Cincinnati. If it is going to be this cold, I'd just as soon have some snow. Bring it on!!

Bonnie, I miss winters along the coast of Georgia, where I could sit on the beach in December in 70-degree weather! Don't taunt us with thoughts of such wonderful weather!

Colleen, you get the door prize!! I think it's 14 coffee shops before 10 a.m. tomorrow morning

I've lived in Houston for almost nine years now...gee, seems like 29!, and this is only the second day in all those years that the humidity has not been 100%. In addition to that, I actually had to wear a coat this morning. It took me an hour to find one!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

By the way, Colleen, isn't Hoboken ol' Blue Eyes' home town? Did ya know him? Were you a relative? Can ya sing? How long does it take to get from Hoboken to NYC?

This must be one of those information gathering days for me

Whew! Mimi must be a mystery shopper (or a lawyer)!

Yes...Hoboken is the birthplace of Frank Sinatra. I did not know him. Not related. I can sing on Karaoke night (if I have a few) . I have been known...ya know!

How long to get to NYC?

Depends. Can ya swim? HA! Only kidding. By ferry it only takes a minute. Those big ol' buildings...are NYC. Pic taken from Hoboken Pier.

Carry on...with local traffic/weather!

Yes, those winds are so bad here that I was on the highway 1 and two trees were covering the road. I had to drive on the median!!!

It's 16 and clear which means a few more degrees colder by morning. The weather folks are predicting zero by Sunday with minus wind chills. Going to be a very cold week ahead. Thank goodness for no snow yet. It would be colder still.

Some day I'll live south of the Mason Dixon Line or bask in the Santa Ana Winds. Until then, its icicles from Hudson Bay or the Yukon.

Sandy

It gets down to 25 degrees at night, and if we're lucky, it'll creep up to 45 at the 'hottest' part of the day.

I normally wake up to frost on my car, and sometimes snow.

Happily shopping the Portland, Oregon metro area!
