LOL I guess so it covers everything. We have had fog days as well as the typical snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Ohio weather is unpredictable, not like GA.

Yea, we just get droughts, tornados, and when Atlanta gets 2 inches of snow the city shuts down.

That's like Floridians wearing a parka when it reaches 50 or is it 60
Currently 23 here with temps supposedly in the 40's all week.

Quinn, Were you anywhere close to the tornadoes tonight. Just heard about them. I also just e-mailed my niece who lives in Atlanta. I haven't heard back yet. Hope everyone there is OK.

Last night at about 3:30am, it sounded like someone had dumped a helicopter load of marbles on my roof! I got up and looked out at the patio and the whole backyard was covered with marble sized hail. Today, it's sunny, clear and you would have never known a huge thunder and hailstorm raged through the area.

Also, no dings on my car! Yay!!

Rain, rain, go away, just don't flood me away....

Schools were cancelled today due to flooded roads. I didn't get to sleep much last night, because the thunderstorm was so violent. Even hubby woke up a couple of times, even though he is usually a sound sleeper.

And we just got a warning of more rain and flooding until tomorrow morning.

Yep! We are part of that club here in North GA! But we are enjoying some much needed rain we have had over the past couple days!

The sun is finally poking through the clouds. We got water in the basement, again

After the drought last summer we did need rain, but it rained so much throughout the winter, the water has nowhere to go. Our lawn has been soggy for weeks, even if we had a week of no rain and sunshine. But it's getting warmer now, and we have been promised better weather by the almighty weatherman.

We're getting the remains of hurricane Ike. So much flooding, we've had 8" of rain so far. I had to drive down the sidewalk yesterday to get into my driveway.....that was fun.

We only get the wind, but it's strong enough. The rain bypassed us, again. Sounds strange, but I wish we would have gotten some. It's been dry here for such a long time.

Marie, I know what you mean. When we lived in DeKalb we got flooded in '96, when Aurora got so much flooding. That was after three days of heavy rain. I can only imagine how bad it is now. I know there are some areas in Chicago that flood easily. Stay safe!

Ike came with wind only, 4 hours of 60-90 miles an hour at 4.30am. It is now 4.05pm and with the help of four neighbors we have gotten all of the tree cut and piles up that Ike thought should be blowned down.

It was like having a machine gun, shooting at your house with all of the junks that hit the house, and now the Sun is Shining and it is a beautiful day. I am grateful that is all that happened and feel for the people that have lost everything.

Where are you, Maralyn?

We are in N. Texas, and, were hoping to get some rain from Ike, but, he took a sharp turn and, went up toward AR, and, on North.

Marie, I didn't realize Ike would still be that powerful by the time he reached you.

Has anyone heard anything from Mimi...she's in Lufkin, TX, which they said was hit pretty hard. She was alone in her house.

It'll probably take days to hear from Mimi. She is most likely without power, so internet communication is pretty much out of the question. And from what I hear, people have run down the battery on their cell phones. I wouldn't even have a number to try for her.

I sure hope she is alright. Her place didn't sound exactly safe to stay in. I wish she would have gone to stay with her husband at the hospital, but she did not want to leave her dogs alone. I hope her husband is alright, too.

Ike remnants made way to Oio. Lots of humidity, rain and high winds today. Although we need the rain.
