I'm so sorry Christina.

Today the forecast is 80 and sunny. Great weather but it doesn't seem like Christmas.

My Dad used to get a kick out of calling my relatives in Indiana on Christmas to let them know we might be having a BBQ in shorts and bathing suits! My Mom told him to stop rubbing it in as she was afraid they would all show up to stay with us the next Christmas!

Yikes! I guess I can't complain about it being windy and 30 degrees here, then!

A foot of snow here on the ground in Cinci and 3 degrees outside! I sincerely hope that none of you out there have any loved ones stranded at the CVG airport. I feel for all those travelers!

Happy Holidays to all!!

It started raining yesterday at 530 p.m. It has been pretty steady. I looked in my rain gauge at 530 a.m. and there is 2 1/2 inches. This could be a very wet week. Showers are predicted through Sat. That is bad news for the Rose Parade. I can't remember if it has ever rained on the parade. I'm predicting it won't!

It has stopped raining finally although still more on the way. As of 11 a.m. 4 inches in the rain gauge. Yikes! Winds 25-35 m.p.h. with gusts of 50 m.p.h. Thunderstorms too. They are predicting at least one more inch today, 1/2 inch tonight. More wind and thunderstorms tonight. I'm not looking forward to driving to work tonight.

I might need that boat by next week , Mimi!
I just went to weather.com and entered my zip code.
Rain is predicted:
Friday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,Saturday and Sunday.
The ONLY day it is not predicted is Sat. Jan. 1st. So it looks like the Rose Parade will be dry.

It is 74 and cloudy in Louisiana (even though my profile says Alaska--it's outdated) It's entirely too hot to sleep so I'm pulling random posts from the archives and adding my thoughts.

Another 1 1/2" today. That brings our total to 9 3/4 since 530 p.m. on Monday. Sometimes that's more that we get in a whole year. Now I'm curious how much we had in the whole year, I know it wasn't very much.

We haven't had any snowfall since December 21st. At least we had enough snow left from that to have a (mostly) white Christmas. Since then, however, the weather has been more autumn-like . . . the snow has disappeared, and days have been clear and beautiful (though still cold, in the 30s and 40s).

Tonight, however, it started snowing at 9:00 p.m. I went outside all dressed up to go dancing, saw it snowing, and had to go back in to get my umbrella so the snow wouldn't ruin my hair! After bringing in the New Year dancing my tootsies off, I drove home in a world of white. The year 2005 has begun in Utah with the ground covered in snow.
