Weather is yucky here. Temperature is 54 and high winds with downed trees and power lines.

Snow, snow and more snow. Had to shovel my evergreen bushes before they got too out of shape.

It's been snowing since 8 this morning... We have a few inches on the ground...well, more like 7 or 8 inches. Otherwise, it's +6 and -5 with the wind chill. School was cancelled mid-afternoon the roads are so bad around here... Yuck.

We're in a blizzard warning starting at midnight through tomorrow afternoon. 6" of snow expected, but the wind....that darn wind is supposed to be around 40mph. After that the temperature bottoms out with wind chills around -40 on Wed./Thurs.
Anyone wanna come visit?

It's 72 degrees with a light Santa Ana breeze!

Not bad for 8:20 PM.

Servanne--it is chilly in Louisiana at 33 and getting colder. It is downright frigid where you are. Man, I am glad I moved south. The wind is blowing a gale today and I had to slalam around the garbage cans in our neighborhood that hadn't been moved back behind the houses since the recycle truck came by at around 9p last night.

I believe this is the coldest it's been on the thermometer yet this year. School was delayed two hours this morning because of the cold. They say your skin will freeze solid in 10 minutes if exposed. And then there is 35 mph winds...that does not help. On the bright side, unlike in Jnanne's neighborhood, the garbage cans around here have had their hole made in the ice since the first snow of the season. They're not going anywhere!!!
Now my car won't start and we're waiting for the tow guy to come and jump it...What a day it's been so far!!
BTW, Kim if you want to send some of that warm Santa Ana breeze our way, that'd be fine.

I decided, after my day yesterday where it took me two half hours to get about 15 miles, to stay home. I'm missing work and my new yoga class, but I'm warm.

We're going to have soup and grilled cheese for lunch today.

Wow and I thought it was cold here. We are at 28 and suppose to get to 40 today, but by Thursday, down to 10, with a big high of 20 during the day. I cannot even fathom 37 below. I thought it was cold when it would feel 5 below. Ughh I gotta go get a blanket, just talking about all this cold had made me freeze.

The blizzard warning was canceled. The deep freeze is making it's way in. It's currently 2 degrees.

I believe the high today is below 4, so again not going anywhere. If it was just me I'd go outside, but with the kids I think its best to stay inside.

There were over 400 accidents yesterday, so I wish everyone would just stay home.

Ellen, very sorry to hear about your husband. Let's us know how he's doing.

I just got this email from the weather station:

WIND CHILL WARNING for dangerously cold wind-chills in the Metro through Friday morning - wind-chills at times will be around -40 below at night and this can lead to frostbite in just a matter of minutes to exposed skin.

So yeah, I'm keeping my babies inside.
