We had five inches of snow here in Dayton yesterday. We will be getting wallopped with a storm on Saturday as well.

You stated in an earlier post that you had about an inch of mold on everything. I didn't know there was a lot of mold in Texas. Is this in the entire state?

When I lived in Dallas, we didn't have all this green stuff growing everywhere like we have in Houston. We are on the Gulf, so it's like the tropics most of the time...hot and humid.

One good thing about it, however, things stay green here for a long time. The humidity is always high and forget about having a good hair day!!!

It is cold...17 degrees. My internal weather meter tells me that there will be a huge snowstorm. I feel it coming. Oh...Joy!!

I'm in the same neck of the woods as Colleen...just went out during my lunch hour and all I can say is it feels a heck of a lot colder than 17 with the wind chill, it has to be close to zero out there. Brrr!

It's 9 degrees right now and we are enjoying the "calm before the storm", literally. Ten to twelve inches of snow are headed this way overnight! YUCK!

I woke up to another pile of snow - 9 inches more - yippee! It is Saturday but the news is still announcing a bunch of school closings.

26 degrees, and our first big snow of the winter. We're supposed to get up to 9 inches today. Too bad it's on the weekend

Colleen and Kelly,

You are in the heatwave section of New York State. Come on Upstate and you'll know true cold. The local news channel says the temperature is 2 (it said 3 when I started typing this). Weather.com say -1 with a wind chill of -20. We are expecting 10 - 20 inches of snow between tonight and tomorrow night. Thank goodness I have no shopped planned for this weekend. Aw what the heck I'm going to the mall and Kohl's anyway. What is life without taking a few chances?

It is snowing steadily here in PA. We are supposed to get up to a foot by tomorrow. It's our first major snowfall here. Since it IS January, I guess it's about time! My family up in the northeast corner of PA has already had more snow and ice than they care to see in one season. I'm glad I moved.

You guys will love this. I have turned off the airconditioner and opened the windows...it's foggy. We will get to 75 today, but this afternoon it will drop to 34!!!
