Dream away Mimi. I have about 2 inches and we may get a little more but there is a lull in the action right now. Now you can really dream big if you head east 6-12 inches expected. |

65 degrees today. This has been the easiest winter I've ever had so far. And I live at the edge of the Black Hills (smaller mountains). We've only had one major snow storm, I think maybe 6-8 inches is what we got. 1 full week of Jan it was 60-68 degrees everyday, and the last couple days have been in the 60's. |

How is everyone's weather. We had hot, hot and hot. I love to swim and be outdoors so it was just great. A bit humid though. Last night we had bad,bad storms. We lost power last night at 9PM or so. We did not get it back till an hour ago. Anyone else lose power in this line of storms? The last few days were 90's and today 83. |

Not so good in Texas today, Mimi?
Here, the sky is a weird hazy white. No definable clouds, just this haze. And it's in the sky, not foggy down here. The air is heavy, somewhat humid and warm. The heaviness of the air is actually what's worst today, and I'm one who just hates humidity.
Oh, I wish it would rain... |

Hazy Hot Humid The three dreaded H's. I can't even tear out coupons from our newspaper the paper is so damp. Dark and dank...I too "wish it would rain" (love that song btw). Once it rains the air will dry and hopefully the sun will come out. My brother lives in Houston...it get's way too hot there for me. My other brother lives in San Diego (just moved to San Clemente). That weather I LOVE, but the earthquake issue keeps me from moving there. |

Currently, lots of sunshine in a pure blue sky, 81 degrees, humidity at 24percent. Long-term forcast: more of the same. Love it here! |

Extremely Hot, Hot, Hot.
Temps in the high 90's with heat index pushing it upwards of 108. We had tons of rain earlier in the week and when you walk outside it feels like a suana and you can hardly breathe. |

Well, I signed off and curled up for a snooze around 2:30 this afternoon, and a couple hours later the crack of thunder woke me up. It rained, but it's still humid now that the rain has stopped.
Vonette, gear up for lots of visitors -- we're on our way! |

How about Thursday night, at 10 PM, it was still 80 degrees?
It rained hard for three minutes, yesterday evening (long enough, to wipe out my satellite dish).
It feels good this morning (about 65 degrees). I'm sure it will get back into the low 90's again. I get off work by 12 noon; I don't come back outside till after 5 PM...to water my plants.
Now that's HOT! [help] |

It was a nice day here today. The rain washed out almost all of the humidity. I had to think about it to notice any today, but there is a little bit. It was warm and sunny, but not hot. Sky was blue with fluffy white clouds. |

On the 30th, a reporter called the courthouse extension center to get the names of any local corn farmers because she was doing a report on the woes of the farmers. Our county was the driest county in the state. That night we had a horrible storm, winds of 70mph, tree limbs everywhere, roofs damamged, my cousin's house got a whole oak tree uprooted right in the middle of it, and the local ford dealership had a couple of cars damaged by fallen trees. We managed to get almost an inch of rain so it has cooled down drastically, now if it will just rain on a regular basis for a little while maybe things won't get out of hand.
Note: The a/c has been out in my upstairs office for the last three weeks. This office is not only upstairs, it's in the southwest corner. Temperatures have averaged 93 every mid-morning with one afternoon even reaching 98. Needless to say, I left early. |
