Does anyone here have experience working for Acosta on an ISE team (In-Store Execution Team)?

Any feedback on this would be appreciated. Feel free to email me if you like.

Sounds like something pretty close to what you have been looking for, I would delve into it more.

The Mosaic Impact team is merging with Acosta in a couple of weeks. Any we are going to use the NARS reporting system. What can anyone tell me about it?

They are hiring in my area for a "mandate" merchandiser, part-time. I am wondering what exactly that is? Anyone?

I work for Acosta for more then five years...and this is a new team they are developing. I do Coverage Retailing I love what I am doing will never change. Good luck!!

The mandate position is for an ISE (In-Store Execution) team member. Also known as the "SMART" team. Nothing new. Acosta recently lost the contract to head these teams in certain chains. The new company offered the positions to the current employees but some refused the offer so if Acosta is looking to fill a mandate position, that is most likely because someone from Acosta left the team. The team is headed by another company, but is comprised of workers from several different companies like Acosta, MAP, Crossmark, ASM, etc.

This mandate position is usually a 32 hour work week. You work M-Th, 8 hours per day,. Well actually, usually you don't work the full 8 hours but you get paid for it anyway. Thursdays are almost always shorter days.

I like working on these teams but I don't know if things will change for the worst being headed by a new company or not.

I was actually offered the team lead position in my area, but I declined because the new company pays crappy and I am not team lead material. Most merchandisers are whiny and lazy and I do not supervise whiny and lazy people very well.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake, at least I'm done with merchandising... for goodness sake.

Larry you sure post many negative comments about other people in this forum. Perhaps you are projecting about yourself?

I do not post "negativity". Only "reality" as I alone experience it.

You sure do like to post your negative opinion on how others post seemingly negative comments, though...lol. Don't ya?

Thanks Larry....Yes, I am aware that Acosta does not head up the teams anymore; I have subbed in on the teams when a member was missing...I just dont know if I would like it enough. I prefer to work independently.

I am new to Acosta- have been working for Crossmark. I'm on Acosta's IMPACT team.

Does anyone know if we can unschedule/refuse work that shows up for us? There are some parts of town I'd rather not go in because they are high crime areas. I started to unassign a call and a message popped up that said my supervisor would be notified?

From what I understand, every territory and supervisor is different. You need to talk to your supervisor about this and they should have went over this with you before when you met your super to do on-boarding paperwork (I met with my super to do paperwork and we discussed the position before I signed anything). You can't do this with recruiters because recruiters have no clue about the actual position and the specifics of it. We can all sit here and tell you how things are in our territories but most likely it will not reflect how your territory and suoervisor does things.

Hi Paige! Welcome to Acosta :)

"Offers" are seen by more than just you and they are accepted on a first come first serve basis. You can decline them if you are too far away for the project - this helps the schedulers/supervisor know who may or may not be interested in the project - however you can also just leave them and they will drop off as they are assigned to other reps.

If you are scheduled for a job or it is in your box to be confirmed and you cannot perform the project you should call your DM because they are counting on you to fill this position and get the go-ahead to drop it from your schedule.

Hope this helps!

Can someome explain the mileage reimbursement plan Acosta uses. I don't need the dollar amount. I just want to know what they take off per day? What's considered commute and what is paid? I know its somewhere on their 50 bazillion websites, but I can't find it right now.

Acosta uses 20/40. Meaning...

- You get mileage after 20 miles to your first store and after 20 miles from your last store.

- You get drive time after 40 minutes of driving to your first store and after 40 minutes of driving from your last store.

All mileage and drive time is paid in between stores if you have more than one store to service in a day.

Tina,

The jobs are very easy from placing IRCs, auditing and taking photos of displays and product items and placing POP and signage. Once in a while, you may be asked to do section resets or new product cut-ins. Be sure to constantly review the University site as it helps you with everything. Good Luck.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought the IMPACT team was the team that Acosta took over from Mosaic that takes care of electronics and DVDs and such. Sounds like those of you that are on the IMPACT team are doing nothing different than those on the ASAP team.

As a side note, I am on the ASAP team, but because of nepotism perpetrated my ASAP supervisor (my supervisor hired his friends and family in and they do all the resets and projects in my territory and only call me when one of them cannot make it, they carpool together and claim all their mileage individually ), I don't get any work from ASAP. I have not done any ASAP work for Acosta since September. In fact, I have not heard from my ASAP supervisor since September either.

I only speak to the Mandate team supervisor at this point. What I do anymore for Acosta is fill-in on ISE teams, which is cool for me because I like working with certain ISE teams and it's a full day of work which is great. But the whole nepotism thing really bugs me and I can't believe Acosta let's my ASAP super get away with this. When the ISE teams don't need extra help or no one is on vacation, I get no work from Acosta.
