Having applied for the "paint specialist" position just a few days ago, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the recruiter already. For those wondering, they are hiring for this position in other states in the south, with varying hours, depending on how many WM's are in close proximity to you. Some he reported to having 5 stores, myself for now will service 11 stores, with more possibly depending on store size. I believe Ill be servicing most of the stores I serviced prior to my resigning in 08. He said instore service runs from 1-3 hours at each store. Not too bad, but we all know how things tend to change. The overnight work is only during a couple of months when rests are done, then its done with.Every other weekend starting with Friday-Sunday we are required to work instore. Not mentioned in the original job description was the fact that we will be refilling the paint machine, and also expected to mix paint for customers that we assist making color choices. I told him of the upcoming cataract surgery to which he didnt think would be problematic. Guess Ill deal with the other surgery when that time draws closer. I hope Ive provided enough possitive information for you that have noticed the job posted, or may consider doing a search for your city and state in the crossmark site.

For those on the data collection team, what exactly do you do? I applied for a PT Position on this team and it still shows the job as open and the HR as in progress which i know is normal because it takes a long time to go thru all the applicants.
Is the pay around the 12.00 to 13.00 hr. mark or lower like 10.00 to 11.00 per hr.? Was wondering if the FT Retail Rep. pays about the same. Thanks for any info. It will help me decide if they do call for an interview, which may be a few weeks out i'm guessing.

In a nutshell, Kelly, the pay could vary by which state you live in. If you live on the Pacific side of the country pay may be higher. Data collection can be many things, it does change though it can vary week to week. Its hard to explain but since Nielsen had joined w/Crossmark, it varies more and more. You can be doing full audits or just doing surveys which is just data collection. There are different types of information gathering I cant detail here. It depends on what stores or accounts you deal with. I hope that helps. M.

I applied and was excited to get a PT Data collection position in Ohio. It was under $10/hr in store and less while driving +.25/mile which would just cover my gas. I thought I'd get to work soon after, but I did the few hours of online training and after 3 weeks still hadn't gotten into a store. I was told it would be 6-10 hours/week, I need the money, but got frustrated waiting for work and decided not to do it.

Oh my gosh, Has Crossmark ever changed in the two years since Ive been away. Instead of simplifying the site, they seem to have made it more confusing to navigate. The one thing they should have changed but didnt is the use of multiple passwords. The District manager called last evening and seems like a decent man. Like myself, he is relatively new to Crossmark also.IF anyone in Wisconsin, particularly the Milwaukee to Greenbay area, and Duluth area south to Rice Lake,is looking for work apply for this position. He said there are many openings in other states also. He said theyre having problems filling positions for this new division. If youre one that enjoys painting and decorating, you may just enjoy interacting with customers who experience problems making paint choices. Im looking at 30 hours a week for now, with possibly more to come, and that isnt drivetime included. Im really looking forward to getting started. Ive explained the eye surgeries to him, with further clarification from the surgeon in regard to required time off, and there wont be a problem. The surgeon definitely says no work for 3-4 weeks after second surgery as my vision WILL be blurry with some double vision. I will be wearing the patch for a longer period on the good eye to hopefully force the right eye use. My eyes dont work together now and havent for a good number of years, the removal of the cataracts wont change that, possibly the patch will help. The ultimate change will come 6 months later when the muscle surgery is done. JOY!

I heard a rumor that Crossmark went out of business. Is there any truth to this?

I have not done any work for them for quite a few months as I am a student and my schedule last semester would not allow. I figured since summer was here I'd see if anything was available and the site would not accept my password. I don't know now. Is it because I haven't done any work for a while or is it because the out of business rumor is true?

This has happened to me twice with Crossmark. Why does this company interview and hire people only to never hear from the supervisor and never work for them? I have heard this from many people. The first time I understand it was a new program that never got off the ground. The last still wasn't that situation and I had all my new hire paperwork done, could sign on...everything. Was told I'd hear from supervisor within a week and never did. I sent emails for a couple of months and finely gave up.

Someone from Crossmark called me last week about a position in my area. She had found my profile on NARMS. It was a position that required 30 hours per week supposedly and was Mon-Fri and maybe some weekends. It was general merchandising with a route of stores.

I have been employed with Crossmark for a number of years. They are growing at a fast pace and rumors are just rumors. Jobs in the field are around but it depends what division you are in, what your field job is, and so on. I am with the DCA field team in Ca. HTH as the rate of pay depends on what your job, what team, and so on. Mia

I just started with them, but have as much work as I can handle.
I'm especially excited about the new projects coming up.

Call me crazy, but I LOVE resets!
Yes, even cosmetic resets.

I received an initial call from a hiring manager, then I was hired, completed online training, but I can't login to SalesTrak due to no work assigned.

My question is; how do I find out who my supervisor is?

I appreciate anyone who can help in this matter.

Selena, call 1-877-699-6275 option 1, this is field support. Maybe they can help you, expect several mins. waiting on them. If they cannot help you, they will direct you to a number that can.

Selena, Make sure you tell them you have no current supervisor and you are a new hire ... you will get assigned, just make sure you tell them you want more work too. Good luck,Mia

I would like to thank everyone for helping.

I found my supervisor; he explained there was a realignment of districts; as a new hire, I guess I slipped through the cracks.

I am supposed to start this week.

I've been merchandising for a while, and one thing is certain, there will always be realignments. It is a pro and con for a company. Pro in that, usually, that means more business is coming in and they have to get things situated to allocate the new clients. Cons are that they have to realign and everybody gets stressed and some balls get dropped. The key is persistance, especially when you are a new hire. Keep the lines of communications open so you get the job you were promised or, at least, for them to tell you you are no longer needed.

Hi Everyone,

I have been on vacation and today is a catchup day..They are constantly realigning new territories as well as existing and falling through the cracks is a common occurence. I have had to speak up alot to regain lost work through closure or whatever reasons.. I agree with persistence and open communication though it can try our patience..Mia

I've been with Crossmark (off and on) since 2004. I have enjoyed the projects...until recently. They wanted us to try to get individual convenience stores to carry four new kinds of gum. Now it is new flavors of Airheads. I really dislike this "cold-calling."
Also, they assigned me to locations over 2 hours away.
I miss the real merchandising jobs.
