Then the company should be providing information and links if Chrome is the only browser that can be used. The employee should not have to bear the brunt of computer knowledge just to work for the company. This is what happens when the kids are running the show. They do not take into account the reality that many older reps use the computer/ smartphone/tablet only because they have to. I'm not taking a swipe at the older set. I'm one too.

Not only the concern that there will be no hours some weeks, also the amount of unpaid travel is going to cause reps to leave. I look at it that if that is the only way the company is going to learn, so be it. But I doubt this one ever does.

Can't believe, I looked at my assignment list for the week and I have a 4 minute assignment in one store where I'm to take 3 photos and look for 3 different items and get paid a whole 4 minutes time for this. Are they just crazy?

I'd be emailing my supervisor and telling her I wouldn't get out of bed, much less get dressed, and drive my car to be paid for any 4 minute job. What does that work out to? 60 cents? Unbelievable. That is beyond insulting. I sincerely hope you have no intention of letting them get away with this and doing the job. It will only go downhill from there.

That or I would report the job,(no photos no info) and tell them you had to stop looking for the products after 4 minutes as you aren't working for free and your time was up. Tell them if they could extend the job to at least 30 minutes, you might be able to find the three products and take a photo of them. Even at 30 minutes, you are being nickeled and dimed to death.

All these companies have truly lost their tiny minds.

I did email my supervisor about it but didn't get an answer, but that is kind of normal now a days in this industry. Believe me I won't do a 4 minute job and don't even like 30 minute ones unless I'm in the store doing other work at the same time. It is getting ridiculous.

This is Crossmark for you.

Very confused.

Personally I would have just ignored the job all together. If it's in a Wal-Mart you will be waiting more time for the vendor badge then the job!

But as some others have said. If you take the job just walk in and place a note saying that you could not find the product within the time allowed for the project. Plus if you shop in the store you really are not wasting your time.

How are things going for CROSSMARK? I heard there were several changes recently.

I see my old job is posted for the second time in a couple months. I'm not really surprised, if the amount of unpaid travel still exists as it did when I worked for them. Axis system had you running everywhere and anything under 40 miles no pay.

A friend of mine walked. About two weeks ago. He was tired of all the hassle for what he was getting paid, and the amount of work he was getting. And he told them as much, as if they really cared.

I did notice the YoGiYo games/cards and other trading card/game pieces have been changed from a non traditional spinner rack to a 20ft section in the Walmart here. That stuff is a big seller. That is the main job I had there besides the paint area. Walmart here now has self checkouts, which no one will use. A couple clerks were yelling at people in the regular checkouts asking if anyone would be willing to use the self checkouts. LOL

April2013, that is quite ironic. My local Wally World has self checkouts, which are in constant use. None of the manned check lanes are ever open!

I refuse to use a self-check out. When they want to pay me and give me benefits, I'll use them. In the mean time if the only thing they have open is a self-checkout then I simply tell them that I'm disabled and would like assistance (which is 100% true) and the cashier either scans my items or calls over a CSM to scan all my items at the self-checkout.

I started using self because the manned checklanes are either full, or so few open. Besides, the checkers were noted for packing bleach in with the fresh fruit, and rat poison with milk. All useful items, hardly interchangeable.

Any feedback on the new CVS services that just started? I am interested in what product lines or services are being done in these stores. Thanks in advance!

I was in the CVS store in town today and the manager said they have materials in there for Crossmark, but didn't say what the job was.

I have three assignments this month for CVS and all are different clients. Total amounts to abut 1.5 hours.

I am new to Crossmark and I have a question about work tickets through Gigwalk. I had 38 tickets auto assigned to me last Thursday, I scheduled them all, then awoke on Saturday to find all but 5 of them gone. I have emailed by Supervisor 3 times, contacted Support, but no one has replied.

Is this a common problem? Can someone "steal" work assigned to you?

I've never had any disappear unless i emailed my supervisor and asked him to remove them because they're not my territory. Email your supervisor or call that person and hopefully you'll get an answer. I have a great supervisor who answers immediately.

You're lucky, when I was there they wouldn't let me remove anything. If someone else got what they deemed "too many jobs", they were moved to the next territory and you were stuck with them. Sometimes, running to the same place more than once a week and not all the travel was paid.
I was told pretty much it was my problem. Only "problem" was there was no way to predict what you would get from week to week with that Gigwalk program.

I am being recruited as a Merchandiser (not event specialist) for a couple of grocery stores in a home store arrangement 15-25 hours per week.
I am told that I would be assigned a Crossmark email address and be expected to work with it. How has that been working out?
How is the reporting system? Like many companies the drive/mileage is not great, but the stores involved are not far enough away to consider time/distance to be an issue anyway.
Well I am hired a week later as a floater without a specific home store. We'll see how it goes.
Training starts tomorrow.
