I want to get a pretty box and recipe cards. Then send one blank card along with each invitation to my sister's wedding shower. Each guest would write out one recipe.

Great idea, but I'm having trouble finding any. Only Ben Franklyn had a set that I will buy if I can't find anything else. I've looked in several craft/hobby stores, WalMart, Target.

Any ideas where I can get this?

Check a good stationery store or a bookstore.

Ebay has 300 listings for "recipe cards".

This is my favorite place to buy stationery - they also have recipe cards/boxes. Barnes and Noble used to carry their products the last time I looked.

This won't help since you say you've already looked there but,I did see some that I liked at Walmart. I bought them! They had a floral print and I've been trying to get my recipes organized on them but that's where I'm having trouble! I just don't have the time, it seems!!

The Pampered Chef has a Pampered Bride show and the invitations include recipe cards just as you are describing. Even if you are not having a Pampered Chef shower they would be appropriate. If you know someone who is a consultant, they could get them for you or if you want to e-mail me I could hep you out.

Have you tried Michael's the craft store? You can shop on line. Or better yet, make your own. All you need is card stock paper, a color printer, and can go online to many free art sites with cards already designed that you just print out. Its cheaper and better.

Michael's has pretty recipe boxes also.

There was nothing at the one I went to.

Yesterday, I did find some nice cards and boxes at a Hallmark store. The line was out the door with Vanentine's shoppers, so I did not get them.

I plan on going back for them as well as hitting up all the stores for after Vaneline's sales on stuff with hearts on it, to be used as prizes for games at the shower.

I did think about making them, but I think the ink would cost more than buying the cards and I would still need to buy a box. I'm also not that creative.
