All Mercedes and BMW's require premium. I sure am glad I don't have to worry about that.

Well, we have hit a highpoint....3.599 a gallon for regular 87 octane. 4.239 for diesel. $4 a gallon is looking realistic before Memorial Day!

Interesting but some of the EU countries use what is called an IMPERIAL GALLON which is 1/5th more than a US gallon so the price is actually lower than what you posted.

I found the price in Aruba to be amazing. I have visited the country at least 10 times but never paid attention to the price of gas. What I find amazing is Aruba is right off the coast from Venezuela. I wonder why the price is so high, it certainly isn't the transportation.

I have never even heard of Eritrea, wonder where it is.

Venezuela has cheap gas for the same reason that the middle eastern countries do: they have their own oil wells. In fact, they are the fourth largest supplier of crude oil to the USA. Obviously, they don't give any price breaks to their neighbor Aruba (not sure what the politics involved are). In regards to Venezuela and their oil, you might find this article interesting: http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/citgo.asp

Here in Washington state, the gas prices are holding steady at about $3.75/gallon for regular. (Sigh!)

Venezuela is communist now. Essentials are stateowned and cheap (gas is). Non-essentials cost and arm, leg, or firstborn. Anyhow, Venezuela has lots of oil and used to export a lot to the US, before they started to become our enemies. You might remember the CITGO gas stations. To put pressure on us, they stopped (or almost stopped, not so sure there) their oil deliveries to the US after their dicator converted the privately owned oil companies into state owne ones.

The price of gas just jumped 10 cents today ---now at 3.749. Bet these prices are going to affect how far away from home we'll drive to perform work.

$3.93

The other gas station still had it for $3.68 (both were that price yesterday) but they were sold out and waiting for a delivert truck.

Now I wasn't around in the 70's when there was a gas shortage, but this is not the first time I have seen long lines at the cheaper stations and then shortages when they run out.

I read somewhere that gas will going to $5.00 a gallon and that a barrel of oil will soon hit $200.00. I will be stuck between not being able to afford the gas to go to work and not being able to stay at home because gas is not the only bill that needs to be paid.

Something has got to give. Oh I know, "VIVA LA REVOLUTION". We need to have a revolution.

$3.43 - $3.49. Going to my son's this weekend for Mothers' Day. 300 mi round trip. (Easier this way, he has two small children & there is another Mother -in Law living close to them, this way we all get together at once, rather than them trying to be 2 places at once & having to drag all the stuff needed for 2 small children.) Anyway, used to try & visit once a month to see grandchildren, now about every 6wks, because of gas. Also used to cost maybe $30 not too long ago,now closer to $75.
