When I left for work this A.M. I paid 3.749 a gallon. About 2 hours later, I passed a station that had changed prices to 3.899 a gallon, so Ikes' affect has hit us northerners. Im sure happy I filled up early.

Never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness I live in the Bay Area with regards to gas prices. We have our own refineries out here and prices have not gone up due to Ike. However, our prices are already higher to begin with but that's another topic...

Well most stations have posted between $4.19 and $4.39 for regular. However, good luck finding a station that actually has any regular. I was in a small town doing a route of stores (weekly merchandising route) and went to the Exxon there and got gas. They still had some regular and were selling it at $4.09 a gallon. However, they have no idea when their next shipment will come. Actually most stations have no idea when their next shipments will come.

I lucked out traveling Sat. Gas did not go up, in fact I paid 4 cents less than I did on Friday. (different station) I noticed on the way home today that the stations along the way had gone up an average of 3 cents. I'm totally shocked.

in Valdosta it seems to be around 4.49, however, some stations have been reported for gouging at 4.99-5.69, crazy, huh?

It is sitting at $3.99 here except for one Citgo that was $4.69. I rather doubt they will be selling much gas.

$3.99 here in town. But I have heard that the Attorney General's office has received several complaints of price gouging from all over KY. It'll be interesting to see, if any of them are valid. Some gas stations felt so overrun that they quickly jacked up the price on their pole signs but charged a normal price at the pump. Interestingly enough, the attorney general upon inquiry could not tell them whether or not that would fall under price gouging. They just wanted to get rid of the congestion, especially, if they had already run out of regular gas. Maybe they just should go to the old standby "Arm, leg, firstborn"

$3.19 yesterday, the lowest I've seen it in months!!

Over the summer, my MS road trip took me to Aspen, CO. In Aspen proper, on about August 15th, gas was at $5.26 a gallon. Two miles down the road, gas was at a "low" $4.79. So each station also knows to jack up the prices if the consumer is willing to pay.
