So, tonight, the prices at the 4 stations that I saw in my town range from $2.82 to $3.19 for a gallon of regular gas. There were lines of cars that went into the street near the less expensive stations!

Gased up at 4 PM today after being in line for 45 minutes, paid $2.74 a gallon. As soon as I was done they raised the price to $3.29.

Talk about some mad folks still in line, this had been the cheapest station around. All the others were already at $3.20 to $3.34.

$3.48 for regular unleaded. DH drives a diesel, peaked at 3.99 today here in town. He was on his way back from 60 miles away, checked each station as he went by. Found diesel for $2.69. Who would have thunk we would be excited to find "cheap" gas at $2.69.

Yesterday it was $2.82 here in the Poconos (PA). My husband drives to NJ and NY for his job and if the price raises to $4 as the news media keeps saying, he is going to have to quit his job or ask to be laid off. :( We already live paycheck to paycheck and we just can't afford these high gas prices.

Wow, I can't believe it, I just got to fill up for $2.85... It's a gas station off the beaten path but near my house. The rest in town is at least $0.14 more expensive and the first ones started to raise prices to $3.09. The attendant told me, he will have to raise the price soon. It's worth it to look at the 'hidden away' stations. They generally tend to change prices a bit later than the rest.
