I know Hallmark does but, who else? I have quite a few Walmarts in my area and a Target and would really like to know who to apply to.
Thanks, Maryann :)

Hi Maryann. Off hand I can only think of Crossmark and Proctor and Gamble. When I was looking for merchandising work, I went to Kmart and Walmart and looked through their vendor books. Most companies' sign in sheets have contact info: a web site or a phone number to call. I made a list and started contacting all of them. I don't have the list any more. Good luck in your search.

Since Walmart and Target carry most every product, then most every company should have a reason to be there at some time.

Who to apply to?
Click over to Volition.com's Merchandising Companies List (use the pull down menu in the lower right of this page) and sign up for every single company there.

Retail Merchandising Services exclusively merchandises for Target Stores. They are a great company to work for as well. However, they do hire you as an employee. They are listed on Volition's Merchandising Company List. HTH.

There are probably a ton of vendors for Wal-Mart, but I recommend ForceOne Corp. They service the trading cards and are great to work for. Visits are short, but are regular weekly calls. And for Target, I highly recommend CRS Lawrence (costume jewelry), Retail Merchandising Services (sunglasses), and Recycled Paper Greetings (greeting cards). All three are excellent companies and offer steady, regular work.

All sorts of vendors...As someone suggested, try going to the store and thumb through the Vendor Book. I work for Service Advantage and work in both of these stores.

Certified Marketing (they same as Certified Reports - the mystery shopping company) does resets in Walmarts. Their assignments are easy and they pay like clockwork.
Campaigners does merchandising and resets in Sam's Club (which of course is a massive Walmart).

Register yourself on NARMS, Flexhire, and with the various companies on the Volition site.

Crossmark WalMart & Target: mass & drug retail reps (different accounts in the same local store) which I do and enjoy, and dedicated brand reps (one brand travelling to many area stores)

My WalMart has an overstuffed vendor book. Why not check to see which company hasn't been serviced for a few weeks or months?

Good luck

I have done Walmart and Target work for Service Advantage. I have also done Walmart jobs for Field Flex. I recently did an assignment in Walmart and Sams for MCA Retail.

Last week was the first time I worked in Target. They are absolutely the EASIEST people to deal with. I did six different locations and they were consistently helpful, efficient, bright, and polite. Wonder if they would give the folks at Lowe's some pointers...

I also have done Walmart and Target for Service Advantage. I was told though that the main job I do in Target will no longer be done by Service Advantage starting later this month.

MCA and Premium Retail do work in each of these stores. Pat Henry group does periodic POP placement in Walmarts.

do you guys tend to do merchandising full time and if so can you make a decent wage? I have done only small jobs and 1 or 2 days a month I would love to make it a full time job but wonder if I can live on it.
