I wish for a way to stop having e-mails sent to me from the ENTIRE state of California. I live way down in the south part and I get e-mails from schedulers trying to fill shops over 400 miles away. You're saying that you've already got some kind of setup in place that should be preventing this -- schedulers enter the number of shoppers needed and Sassie searches out from the shop's zip code? Then why do I keep getting shop e-mails for San Francisco shops???

I second the request for a way to print out a completed shop in a condensed form, for our records.

One more request -- a way to TEMPORARILY stop e-mails from coming through -- not as drastic as being "DISABLED" but something like a vacation hold. Something I can turn off and on again.

Thank you so much!

How about a central update form for key profile items that are used by most (if not all) companies, i.e., e-mail address, MSPA certification, other contact info ...

Everyone, thanks for the feedback - I'll post my replies here :

The number one feature I would like to see on SASSIE is password and SSN encryption. When I enter the password or social security number, right now it just displays what I entered in plain view on the screen. Most secured websites will display "********" instead.

>>> Yes, this is a common request - we are updating the shopper profile page withn the next 60 days and password hiding will be included on that page.

It also memorizes my password (e.g., when I register with another MSC that is using SASSIE, my password will automatically populate in the drop-down list in the password field). I am concerned with the security. Thanks a lot for listening!

>>> This is a browser setting, not a SASSIE setting.

I'd like to be able to delete my information from my profile after the account has been disabled. I would prefer that people who display questionable behavior do not have access to my personal info.

>>> I'll run this by the MS companies - my suspicion is that one reason for disabling shoppers is that the shopper has faked shops and the MS companies will want to retain the information in case the shopper signs up again under a different email address.

One-How about some sort of print function, with a reduced screen format? With no current print option, I copy and paste the entire form into an email that I send to myself to print later for my records.

>>> There is a link on the form itself called "Printer-friendly version of this form" that might be helpful

Two-How about tab/bookmarks for each section rather than one long drawn out form?

>>> There is a new option available for MS Companies called "PAGING" that will allow multi-page forms (with navigation to jump from one page to another) - it hasn't caught on yet, but eventually i think it will become more popular.

I would like the ability to display my shop log by date, by status or by client, or something more than the seemingly random way it displays now. I hate scanning thru 50 shops looking for the unpaid one.

>> Yeah, it actually sorts by status first ... and then by date (I think ??) - regardless, it seems like everyone hates that. I'll put that suggestion on our to-do list.

I would like to be able to see the completed report, and keep it on the system, so I do not have to copy and paste the information onto my computer. In other words, keep the report viewable on "my space on the sassie site". As stated before, it can be a bit cumbersome to take a copy of the complete report.

>>> We used to do this, but the MS companies asked us to make the edited version of the shops non-viewable to shoppers, because they received complaints from shoppers who didn't like the edits ... or shoppers who saw that much of their narrative was redced and started writing shorter narratives. We theoretically COULD store the edited and non-edited versions on the system, but that would double the amount of storage space on the system and we;d have to charge MS companies more for that. Maybe we could have a "Save to PDF" function on completed shops so you could have a chance to make a copy of the shop before it went to the editors ?

I like the new sassie feature where it only shows shops that have to be done, or you can check shops you did during a certain time period. Comes in handy with those companies that I have done 50 or 60 shops over the past year!!

>>> Glad you liked that - that feature came right from Volition shopper requests.

How about a option to input zip codes? Some of us live in the boonies and that 10 mile feature doesn't benefit us any at all as we have to go 12 miles just to get a big mac from mcdonalds!

>>> The shopper selection feature automatically adjusts for population density - if that McDonald's doesn't find enough shoppers within 10 miles, it will expand its search to include those within 25 miles.

How have I missed the ability to see only jobs from certain dates?

>>> That filter only shows up if you have more than 25 shops in your log (at least I THINK the threshold is 25 shops).

Jobs that have already been assigned to you, or you have already done.

>>> Hmmm .. doesn't the shopper log do that already ?

My Sassie wish? Just to be able to get into the sites. In the last couple days, my logins have become nightmares. I am told that either I don't have Javascript enabled or I don't have cookies enabled ...<snip> ... And yes, Javascript IS enabled.

>>> Wow, that's a pain. Is this still happening ?

I have two SASSIE requests

1) Add a link to the shop details from the applied sections. Some companies wait some time to assign the shops and it sits in the applied section. If I want to review it, I have to go back to the job board and refind it again.

>>> Great suggestion - it's on our to-do list !

2) It would be great to have the job board search info autofill initially. For example, the zip would autofil to my zip, the state would autofil my state, etc. We could always change it, but 99% of the time I am seaching based on my zip or state.

>>> Y'know, I'd like that feature too ! I'll see what we can do !

You mean like the report would consist of different web pages? I am sorry but I have to say something. I actually like the way SASSIE displays everything on one page. It takes a long time for me to navigate through web pages if the report contains multiple pages. I would rather scroll up and down than clicking back and forward.

Of course, if the majority of the shoppers like the report to be multiple pages, I will be quiet. But I just wanted to make sure that SASSIE knows there are also people (at least myself) who like it on one page.

>>> Well, if it's any consolation I think that the one-page forms will always dominate. I believe that MS companies will only resort to multi-pages for surveys with 500+ questions that would be hard to load otherwise.

No. Not different web pages. Like Adobe thumbnails. You can see and flip between.

>>> Oh sorry, misunderstood your original post. I suppose we could have "JUMP TO" links ...

At the very top of the shop after the date and time, I'd like
___No, I was not able to complete the shop.

And then the shop asks why and understands that nothing else on the form is needed and marks it as complete.

This is for places that are closed, no longer in business, etc. That way I'm not showing it was late and someone runs into what happened and it clears it off of my "to do" section. I have one still sitting on my jobs as open from two months ago and the company knows the situation and it is just sitting there for me to do and the place is no longer in business.

>>> This is something that the MS companies can add to forms themselves (and will do at times) ... but it is an interesting idea to have some built-in functionality that allows a shopper to easily bypass the form when appropraite.

I would like to see an "universal" job board in which all of the sassie companies list. It would really take the legwork out of searching for those companies that only post and don't email.

>>> I keep suggesting this and the MS companies keep throwing rocks at me - anything that appears to "merge" their data with their competitor's data is treated like the plague. Someday I'll get brave enough to offer this as an optional feature to MS companies and see how many will bite.

>>> Couple of possibilities :

* the scheduler isn't aware of how to most efficiently use the autoscheduler features and immediately goes for the STATE option

* Scheduler has a small database and gets desperate with the STATE option

* Your zipcode is incorrectly listed in our zip-distance database (if you NEVER get emailed any shops near you, then this is the case and you should let us know what your ZIP is).

One more request -- a way to TEMPORARILY stop e-mails from coming through -- not as drastic as being "DISABLED" but something like a vacation hold. Something I can turn off and on again.
a
>>> Well, Merry Christmas !! In the next 30 days we'll be adding the ability to "SELF-DEACTIVATE" your account .. which you can reverse at any time. CURRENTLY, you can select "DO NOT SEND ME SHOP OFFER EMAILS" if you log into your account and sleect "MY PROFILE" - that will keep your account active but will stop the emails.

Thanks again !

Hi

I would like to see a full box with my answers instead of a small box - too often the answer requires a lengthy sentence or several sentences. But I cannot see the entire response I have typed in. I have to scroll back and forth. Even as a former editor, I had to scroll to check the grammar and spelling.

Next, you definitely need a better spell checker. I was an editor of lengthy Sassie reports. The spell check on a long report freezes too frequently. And for the shopper, it is incomplete. In order to properly check over a lengthy report, the editor has to copy/paste from the client view to a word doc and check problems there and move back and forth between the shopper form and the word doc corrections. Not a user friendly format for an editor. Originally we were able to edit right online in a word format. No more unless you have changed that recently.

It's so neat to read this discussion and to know there is an open exchange between shoppers and someone who can effect change.

So, do you have any clue about my Javascript problem? It has not gone away. I am bounced back to the login page with the message that Javascript is not enabled. If I keep trying, I usually get in on the 2nd or 3rd try (sometimes more, rarely on the first try). It is not consistent within sites, sometimes I get right in. The next time I visit that site I have to try several times. Is it something wonky at my end? It started suddenly about a week ago. It has tapered off somewhat, but still occurs on most of the sites. It is only Sassie logins where I have the problem.

That would make sense if the shopper had actually WORKED for a said company before and had issues. Unfortunately, shoppers are deactivated for a myriad of capricious reasons, including shoppers that have never done a single job with a certain company, and have never had a single issue with ANY company, for that matter. So, perhaps you could ask those companies: what reason would they have to keep a shopper's information? Especially after the shopper has specifically requested to have their information expunged from the database.

I would like to see an univeral sassie system where all the sassie sites combine together so we can select jobs from there instead of going to each individual site.

When information changes that are universal categories on all SASSIE forms (phone number, email, address, MSPA codes) I would like the option of updating directly with SASSIE & SASSIE disseminating the information to the MSPs. To log into each is , and frankly I don't log into any more than my 'usuals.' That leaves many MSPs with inaccurate information.....it would be a great value for SASSIE to add to their service to the companies....

I like Mike's suggestion. I would also like to see the cities a particular job is needed to be completed in, clearly noted at the TOP of the email message. I root through at least 15 messages a day from Sassie users and have to scroll down only to see the nearest shop is 60 miles away! I have actually dropped some MS companies because of this. I'm probably missing some opportunities, but I get tired of job offers that aren't anywhere close to where I live.

Every company wants their shoppers to explain their "no" answers. With such a long form, it's tough remembering which questions you responded "no" to by the time you get to the bottom of the page. How about the appropriate comments box for each question automatically filling in a reminder when a "no" button is selected.

I want to receive shop offers for certain clients, but would like to be able to omit offers from others with the same MS company. For instance, I want to receive offers for a reoccuring retail shop, but at the same time not have my mailbox flooded with shop offers I'll never do, like women's clothing (because i'm a guy) or bank customer shops in which I am not an account holder. Some kind of filtering system would be nice.

The appearance of the Sassie web page you use is determined by the "talents and skills" of the MS company's form 'designer.' Also, I was told that Sassie charges a lot of money to fix forms that do not work right or to train these 'designers' on how to change that appearance. The MS company has a lot of money invested in Sassie as it is. It is far easier for the 'designer' to enter a dozen or more questions and leave a comment box at the bottom of this section. So do not look for this to happen soon - that a box would pop up to remind you to answer a NO response. I have worked with one MS company who used their own brand of form that actually did that. It was great. No missed responses at all.

I agree completely. I am a student, and I'm going to be changing residences many times over the next few years, living in different places for the spring and fall terms, winter break, and summer terms. It'd be very time-consuming to change my address, etc. so many times, and frustrating to miss out on job offers.

I would like to be able to search for phone shops. There is one MSC that does not offer any on-site visits in my state, but they have some decent phone shops. But that means I sometimes have to look through 400 or more on-site visits to find the phone shops. Thanks!

I wish that the enter key would select the appropriate button based on the text field that I'm in. If I've just entered a ZIP code and the caret is still in that field, hitting enter should select the "Search by ZIP code" button and not the "search by country" button. That burns me every time.

Well, it finally happened to me. Not sure when or how, but apparently I "spammed" a SASSIE email. Lo and behold this morning, I got the SASSIE email stating...

"This auto-generated email has been sent to let you know that you should no longer receive Mystery Shopping shop-posting emails
at this email address. This is because we received notification that you consider the shop-posting emails to be 'spam'. You can resume getting shop-posting emails by logging into your Mystery Shopping account and enabling them."

How about SASSIE sending an email confirmation, same as when you register at a website, to confirm that you really want them to go and change 30+ accounts to NOT recieving emails? Glad I caught it early this morning so I could fix my top 20 ASAP. Ugh! If they can change every single SASSIE account to NO, it is much easier for them to go back and change all SASSIE accounts with the push of a button to YES, versus me having to do each account individually!

Hi:

I remember hearing that there is a way to download the form to a Palm Pilot. I cannot remember how to do it. It would be nice to have instructions on how to download the form.

Lots of good suggestions on here!

My wish is that the spell checker would actually contain the words I need to complete the shop. If the MSP spells "cellphone" as one word on their forms, the spell checker should take it that way. It should also take "Nextel" as a word!

Jack, I appreciate your openness and responsiveness on here. Thanks!
