I completed two D27 repackaging jobs. 7 hours in first store and 5.5 hours in second. In both stores I had FULL HELP from the jewelry specialists. If I was doing it myself-14 hours and 11 hours!
It was very tedious, tiring, frustrating and, at times, annoying.

I haven't been able to log in since Friday night. There might have been an email warning us it would be down but I can't find it. Its not a pay week so I wasn't worried. I can get things in Monday morning when its hopefully back up.

Concerning the D27 project first one took me 7 3/4 hours & I had help. Second one I haven't finished. Managed one spinner & the Jewelry specilsit had to go home & there was no one else to babysit me. Both stores, I had help with. I ran out of everything. Was pulling securty pads off the old boxes to use.

The good thing about it is I've only been doing the second store for a few months & I was "bonding" with the jewelry specialist.

Ahhh! I tried to fill out an application and kept receiving a "could not connect to server" error! Then the email I sent was bounced back. I was beginning to wonder.......

I have a question please for those of you who work for LMS..I just this morning received from NARNS an E Mail about LMS. Here is what it says then I have a couple questions..

"Svc costume jewelry @ Target for Approx 8 hrs on a twice per wk basis for a project rate of $40.00 per visit. Also resp for svc various projects w/n Target."

Would I be @ Target 4 hours per vivit or 8?? So pay is 40.00 for 4 hrs X 2 visits = 80.00 per wk...OR..40.00 for 8 hrs X 2 visits =16 hrs per wk

What days of week can visits be done?

What are the "other various projects"and how many hrs for that?

Thanksin advance guys..

For jewelry you would be there twice a week, four hours per visit, $80 total for the week. The two visits should usually be spread out evenly, like Monday/Thursday, or Tuesday/Friday.

The various other projects could be:

Greeting cards (usually every other week...currently it's only about 20 mins to service a two-foot section of cards).

Cosmetics - about one hour monthly, straightening a 12 foot section, pulling damages.

Bagged cereal - about an hour monthly, straightening to planogram, taking care of signage, etc.

Various one-time projects like placing stickers on items, testing toys for damages, pulling recall items. These come occasionally and are usually 15, 30 or 60 minute projects.

Most people I talk to really like working for LMS and especially like the Target jewelry.

Someone should tell recruting that the ad is confusing. Someone just asked the same thing about a month ago. They pay per the project. In your case they are paying 40 per jewelry visit twice a week. If you take more than 4 hours you still get paid 40, when you take less you still get paid 40. The extra projects are extra pay.

n 8 hour store thats alot of panels. The more panels of jewelry the more hours they estimate it will take. Its not just Target but that is the main focus. This summer I did sunglasses at some grocery stores & every few months I visit Kohl's.

Who else is still frustrated as heck at MARS 2.0?

Who else has a CP that STILL hasn't had the reset?

Anyone else doing Excell that finds their POGS mysteriously rearranged? Is Excell sending people in??

Hi! I haven't had trouble since the bugs were worked out the first week or so. What type of problems are you having? Maybe someone on this forum can help you.

(I don't do Excell or CP so can't help you there)

Now that all of us Lawrence Merchandising reps in Target jewelry have received the email this morning stating that our hours will be cut for 2009 when do you think they will tell us by how much?

Yesterday I received an email saying the office would be closed at 11 AM today and just before closing they sent out the email. No way to get in touch with them to get specifics. They are probably enjoying their office Christmas party while we sit and wonder how much our pay will be cut.

Anyone have any info of how much the stores are being cut by?

I wouldn't worry about the office party too much. Years and years ago I was a full time merchandiser with them - 11 stores and on salary. We had office parties every year (they are based in the Twin Cities) and got stuff like a pen or a key chain. Nothing that would break the bank.

I contacted my Area Supervisor. I suggest you do that also, or your Coordinator at LMS. I am not comfortable with discussing this topic on a public forum.
