If you are logged in, you will see a link at the top right of the page for Active Topics. I was talking to some members last night in the chat area and they had not tried it yet.

I wanted to point this out to you as a pretty useful feature. Assuming you read here at least daily, just click that link and you will be presented with all the topics that have had posts since your last visit.

I would not recommend trying it if you have been gone for more than a few days as the number of replies would be huge and fairly meaningless. In that instance you should just go through each forum one by one.

After you have read all you want to read, you can mark all the topics listed as READ or OLD by clicking the icon in the upper left of the grid.

Now that is neat! I wonder what else I haven't figured out in here yet, lol.

Thanks for the tip Ray!

I think it is neat, too. I have the active topics page set on my favorites, so when I come here it shows me only the topics that are active since my last visit. Pretty cool!

I use it every time I visit volition. Definitely a wonderful feature. Occasionally, I'll miss something when my log in gets messed up, but it's not often.

When I visit (more than once a day), the topics that have had a new post since the last visit show up with little purple folders beside them instead of yellow. Am I missing something?

Just looking at the purple folders, you would not be missing anything new in that one forum. However, active topics gives you the new posts in all the forums.

Just don't try using it is you have not been here in 2 weeks. Then you are best off just visiting each forum of interest one by one.

Didn't know! Have been trying it for a few days and LOVE it! Just ordered some free Yogi tea samples from Sandy's post in the Freebies category. Thanks!

i've been using the active topics feature since ray pointed it out a while ago and, like everybody else, i love it. i just recently moved, though, and, since i got my internet up and running again, i can't get the feature to work. it keeps coming up showing me topics from my last visit which was at the end of sept.

i've tried deleting my bookmark, adding it again, adding a different page as a bookmark. nothing works.

any thoughts? i've gotten lazy and want my active topics back!!

Have you checked to see if you are still signed in. I know that ever so often that I have to do that. I use a link in my favorites folder as well. And occassionally, I will notice that my active topics are repeating themselves and sure enough, Ive been logged out. HTH
