Looking to do in-store events to supplement my income and was approached in a local store by a demo who was working for this company. I have never heard of them and did not see any information in other postings. Are they a good company? Has anyone worked for them before? I have not had a good experience with a former demo company, so very leery of this type of job.

I was not aware that they hire directly, they do contract some demo's out to other companies. I have done Sunflower demos for NCiM.

They dont hire you to do the Demo's, They as the other Companys contract the Demo's to Demo Companys who in turn hire the event person. |

I understand, are their jobs better or worse than the others? I was asked if I could bring two different appliances for one event and switch off during the day. Is this normal for a job with Sunflower programs? Do their events pay different rates that the regular demos that I get from my Agencies? I am trying to keep busy and have a couple of Agencies that I work for when they have jobs available.

The Sunflower Group actually does hire demonstrators to work directly for them. I was surprised to find this out as well but I have met many a demonstrator who have told me they work directly for Sunflower(one demonstrator was very cross with me when I asked her which agency she was doing her Sunflower demo for and she said to me "what do you mean what company do I work for, I just told you Sunflower!)From what I have been told the pay is not that great when you work directly for them. Also their demos are somewhat old school in that they last 6 or 7 hours which is longer than the Mass Connections demos which only last 5. But they are a major player in the field with a good reputation and solid track record. I have been told their pay is always on time and they are not going to disappear overnight like some agencies do.

Just thought I would drop a note to inform - Sunflower is not an agency, it seems some people are mixed on this information. They are a marketing service company, much like Promoworks and Mass Connections. Most of their work is contracted to demo agencies.

I have recently applied for a position with this company doing merchandising work, not Demo's. The hiring seems to be sub-contracted to another company, so I have yet to speak with anyone from Sunflower Group.

I am registered with a company doing demos. I would contacted today about doing a demo for Sunflower. They pay is $100 for 6 hours. I have worked a few demos for Mass; but never Sunflower. Anyone worked with them lately? The demo is not until late March. I thought the pay was great.

Kim: Sunflower is a very good company. They are actually one of the big marketing companies that designs the demos for the client them hires some demonstrators directly and contracts some of their work out to the smaller agencies. They have a good rep and are not going to fold up overnite like some of the smaller mom and pop agencies. I am doing an Oil of Olay Siascope Demo for them soon that sounds exciting and pays well. Is that the one you are doing? |

I am also looking for info on this company. I see that to apply you have to send a head shot and a full body shot. I'm not the prettiest or thinnest girl out there and I see they have bikini models and such. I am not looking to be a model, just a demonstrator. I do demos for other companies and they have never asked for such photos. The pay is good, so I'm eager to hear more!
