| I emailed Goodwin a couple of weeks ago inquiring about payment for two shops that I did in May. The check arrived in yesterday's mail. |

I am curious as to why they take so long to pay a small amount like $10. Hmmmmm. I was paid today. I guess mine is not so bad after seeing the above post of the shop having been done in May! |

| I just started doing assignments for them the first week in May. I have yet to receive any payments from them. I just sent them an email asking why I haven't been paid for any that I've done |

I inquired about receiving a payment after a scheduler sent an email about performing a job a couple of days ago. The email was forwarded to payroll. I received a very nice email from the payroll department apologizing for the delay and that all shops through August would be paid. I received my Paypal payment for all jobs completed from June through August 2011 the other day. |

| The instructions for the shop I did said that payment would take 60-90 days and I was okay with that. Just after the 90-day mark, I sent an email asking when payment would be made. I was paid by Paypal within three days, along with an apology for the delay. I believe this is the first shop I have done for Goodwin and I am very happy with them. |

| It seems from a lot of these emails, like Goodwin holds out as long as possible, but if you make an inquiry they pay right away. I mean, I didn't get my August payment yet. I have not asked about it, but others who have inquired got theirs. |

I have never gotten paid by Goodwin until I reminded them that they owed me money. Then they apologize and pay me within a week. When the assignments are convenient for me, I do them, but there are never many. Interestingly, one type (local pretzels) is snapped up rapidly, so other shoppers appear not to mind having to ask either.
I think it is unreasonable to require shoppers to remind them in order to be paid, but I have to admit that I am willing to put up with it. I don't think I've ever gotten into triple digits (pay plus the rare reimbursement) with them in any given year. |

| But no one from the company has responded here to the many posts about pay issues. That's sad. |

| I have stopped doing shops for Goodwin because I have never gotten paid without asking for the check after waiting months. |

| Waiting so long (in my case 13 weeks) to get paid for shop(s) that you have laid out money for is unfair. |

I just got paid for a shop I did 14 months ago (yes, FOURTEEN). My theory is that if they hold onto everyone's $12 payment long enough, they can make a killing on the interest.

I just signed up for 2 pizza shops. I asked about payment turn around. This is the reply I got.
Payment terms are 60-90 days. PayPal is much faster and is sent out in about 45 days.
I will start bugging them at 45 if it's not in my PayPal account.

| As far as I can tell, no one gets paid until you remind them to pay you, and that reminder has to be after 3 (I think) months. Then they pay. So be prepared to wait. |

It is probably just a cash-flow situation.
I worked for a company that did mechanical and paint work on large equipment. It was not uncommon for a truck to require $50,000 of work. Our company would have to put out maybe $20,000 in parts and paint and another $20,000 for the mechanics/painters. So we would be in the hole $40,000 until we got paid the $50,000 from the company. Some very large companies (and the ones with the money) have policies that they pay in 60 days, or 90 days, etc, and, if you don't like it, you don't do business with them.
Many times we would be in debt to vendors for large amounts of money and there was little cash left for utilities, etc, so guess what? The vendors who yelled first and yelled loudest were the ones that got paid first. Some vendors were willing to wait a little while for their money and some were not able to do so because they had cash-flow problems themselves.
I have not read anywhere that shoppers have not been paid, only that they have to "remind" the company of their fees. And, then the checks come pretty swiftly.
Just reminds me an awful lot like that company I worked for. As long as I know I will be paid, it doesn't bother me to wait the 90 days. But, of course, it would be nice to get it sooner. |

So the model for this company appears to be - Pay them only if they ask. :(
