What a joke!

I applied over 2 months ago, I received 1 offer to do 1 reset about the 1st week of September. I turned it down as I also work for Crossmark and PRS. I had a commitment that day and so I had to turn it down. Fast forward to today...

I sent this email:
To Whom It May Concern:
I am a rep for Natural Insights and saw where I could get a camera by sending this email address $10. Where do I send the money (Pay pal?), what kind of cameras are these, and how old are they. Thanks in advance for your reply.

And here is the response I got from Amy Starnes:
When you accept a project and or store via Natural Insight, this is a commitment to complete this work. If you cannot complete this project, then you need to notify someone at DDP via email within 72 of the scheduled time. Failure to cancel within 72 hours without a valid reason will result in the termination of your employment.

Mind you that is the 1st email I have gotten from them in about 2 weeks, I can still login the system, etc. I also have executed on the days I schedule, and reported same day for over 5 yrs as a mystery shopper, and the entire time for Crossmark and Premium.

Dealing with Crossmark and Premium 40+hrs a week and seeing how organized they both are; has convinced me that DDP, Natural Insights, ION Smart or whoever the crap is running things is a joke. I even called DDP Human Resources and they had no clue how to completely delete me from the system. UN freakin REAL!@

I received the same email today as well. I bet they are sending them out to everyone on their list.I still have not signed up for a job with them yet, as they are all LOWES jobs which you have to lift "alot" more weight than I want/can.

I got the same email today and I sent one back asking which job I did not complete because I have not applied for one yet. All the ones I have been offered you have to commit to 8 hours a day and for a certain amount of days, which I cannot do because of my other jobs.
Well, I'm glad that I came here, as now I see it was probably some generic email, in this business we can't afford to be known as people who do not honor our commitments. They should have said it was a mass emailing.

I got the same message. I've done several jobs for them & have never been late on any of them.

I wish when companies sent out "reminder" emails, they would say something like.

This is a reminder to all of our reps.....

So we didn't assume it was us specifically that had somehow done something wrong.

I too am glad that I came on here and put this email out there, because I wouldn't have had any idea what I did wrong based on the email they sent. Nice to know after the fact that it is indeed a mass email. Sorry DDP I don't retract my words though! Adios

From what Omega tells me, ION sends out ALL mass emails, no problem. Is there any feedback on actual working with them? I love Natural Insights, I now use it for 3 companies.

They are very easy to work with. The jobs tend to be simple. Natural Insight is easy to use. I can't comment on pay yet as I've only worked for them for a few weeks and haven't been paid yet.

Amy Starnes sent me an email saying it was a general policy notice. Here is my response:

Well that is nice that to find that out after the fact.

This in the future might help you keep other reps:

“This is a general policy notice, on no shows.

When you accept a project and or store via Natural Insight, this is a commitment to complete this work. If you cannot complete this project, then you need to notify someone at DDP via email within 72 of the scheduled time. Failure to cancel within 72 hours without a valid reason will result in the termination of your employment.”

If I had received that email I wouldn’t be interested in quitting. As it is, please remove me from your system. Thanks.

I agree that it would have been nice to know it was a mass email. I do not agree with your views of the company though, because I have not had the chance to work with them yet.
As for the content of the email....having been a staffing coordinator in the past, I know for a fact that there are lots of people who commit to a job and do not show up.

I got the same email and received a response back from Amy Starnes regarding the mass email. Ya know, a simple statement saying it was a mass email would have avoided alot of problems, especially when the way they send it out is so specific(memo to just you by name and sent only to your individual email address).

About the $10 cameras, I also inquired about one. I got a vague answer, no brand given or anything. Not being sure what they were I decided not to get one. Did anyone buy one? What kind are they?

You have forced me to reword my position. I should be clearer; and I retract my statement about this company being a joke. Here is what I meant:

I feel that having dealt with other companies that the process that I have gone through with the ION Smart Team is a joke and here is why:

1)The biggest problem for me is that their are to many cooks in the kitchen. Who is the company that I work for here? DDP, ION, Omega Solutions, Natural Insight???? I have yet to be explained this, and I probably would have never figured this out because no work is ever available in my area.
2) I don't get why the director of operations sends mass emails out, don't we have a recruiter or other staff member that can do this.
3) Emails are not sent in the manner saying it is a company directive, but instead look like they are directed straight to the individual.

About the mass emails, I received one from another company. Quite rude, then I received an almost apology email. Evidently the first person had got a reaming out by a client, and he passed it on. Afterwards, someone replied back and we all got the second email. It also sounded like it was directed at me, but it was a mass email. That's 1 problem with email, it is so easy to send to "all" instead of only 1.

Just got paid today. Only about two weeks from the project date. Very good in my mind.

2 showed up on my dashboard and they were over 2 hours away. I sent an email to the person who sent out the mass email stating I service 5 (actually 8) Walmarts in my area and that I had not seen anything in my Dashboard. I got the general FAQ on Dashboard sent to me.

So I sent them another one back explaining I was only concerned that some of them did not make it or to ask if they had someone esle working my area so I knew if I had to keep checking or not. It is surprising how much time we spend on trying to get work, and then don't get compensated in any way.

Wow, I live in a highly metropolitan area with many Walmarts and my list comes up with Wal-Marts 2 states over. I am wondering if their search feature might be just a bit off.

I had a bunch of the laundry drops come up on my dashboard but they are all in the wrong STATE! Everything from ME, MA, NH, NY but no VT. Geesh how far do they think I am driving?
