Shoppers, please take note that the Las Vegas IMSC conference has been strategically planned around the best times of the month for you to mystery shop there. You can come in at the end of the month and take all of the last minute bonused jobs, you can stay an extra day or two and pick up that great hotel or restaurant job... as many as you want. You can get the money you spend on the conference returned to you in less than two weeks, if you do it right.

But...you cannot do that if you do not have your paperwork completed and your work card in hand. These Nevada companies are sponsoring your conference and are willing to assist you with questions. You are also welcome to post your questions here. Let's get ready to rock Las Vegas!

The last time I was in Vegas (May 2011) the Tropicana had a parking lot that you could self park in for no charge. As far as I know, Valet should be free also. Just give them a tip. But, best bet is to call the hotel.

Alex ‘Xander’ Eding works for work for Shopmetrics.com as the Community Manager and Social Media Guru. He is a little on the crazy side which fits right in with most of us.You will be meeting him at the Las Vegas IMSC conference. He is known for coloring his hair a variety of colors. Below you will see a little information about him. He wants you to vote on what color his hair should be at the Las Vegas conference.

Vote on their Facebook Fan Page, which can be found here:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/MSJobBoardcom/138923372867321?sk=app_190322544333196

About Alex ‘Xander’:

(I fought hard for the “Guru” part of that title!) It is my job to moderate the MSJobBoard Forum, engage the Mystery Shopping community, and keep an open door to our company through all means of communication through available social media. I was hired at Shopmetrics to give shoppers the best possible experience when connecting with the company and bring balance to the Force.

I am a Fun-loving, spontaneous guy. I love my Wife of 5 months, my Cockatiel named Albus, and Star Wars. In a recent discussion with friends, they decided that If I were an ice cream flavor, I would be Baskin Robbins’ Shooting Star, which is a brightly colored ice cream that has pop-rocks in it. The intention, so they said, was that I am colorful and surprising! As far as Hair color Goes, I have experimented with many different styles and colors. Lately I have been known for an off-center stripe that runs front to back. I tend to accent this color with a side-Faux-Hawk.

So...once again the IMSC brings fun, entertainment and learning all to one place. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in just a few short weeks.

Unfortunately, The Video Certification Workshop in Vegas is officially full. If you have not paid in full and received a confirmation from Undercover Essentials, you are not registered. If you still have an interest, I will start a waiting list. Inevitably, there are usually 1 or 2 who drop out last minute. Email info@undercoveressentials.org to get on the list.

The IMSC will start hosting teleseminars about Mystery Shopping, Shopping Tools, Route Shopping, Video Shopping, Shopping 101, etc.

The cost would only be $20 for the one-hour Live Session, which would of course include an interactive Q&A.

Would you be interested in attending?
What days/times work best for you?

You can reply here or email us at info@imscinfo.com .

I might be interested. Very early morning works best for me on most any day. However, I would like a preview of what I can expect from an hours worth of content. Better yet, a free trial of a Live Session would give me an idea of a sessions' worth.
High priced: $20 an hour is more than many of us make on a shop, much less per hour from shop beginning to end of report.

These are all great points. Thank you for bringing them up.

The teleseminars stem from requests from shoppers who have been unable to attend the IMSC Conferences. There has been a high demand for sessions to be recorded, but we felt that having a one-on-one direct contact with the presenter would be more beneficial. A Q&A portion will always be scheduled at the end of each teleseminar to ask your specific questions.

The IMSC understands that $20 is a lot of money, but there are unfortunately costs associated with holding web seminars. Between the web host, the cost charged per attendee, and paying the speakers for their time, we tried to keep the price down as much as possible for the shoppers.

We appreciate how hard you work for your money, and would not want you to spend it lightly. Therefore, each session will come with a detailed synopsis so you will know beforehand whether or not the session is valuable to you. The synopsis will include the speaker's name and credentials, the session's focal point and the key points being discussed.

Each seminar will be targeting a specific subject. The advantage of one-hour seminars is that you can pick and choose which topics interest you and attend those seminars. Our goal is to encompass subjects that will be useful for all, just like during our conferences, but for those who are unable to attend a full two-day event in order to benefit from the presenters' knowledge and experience. You will be in charge of your professional growth, at your own pace.

Each teleseminar will be recorded and with your paid attendance to the teleseminar, you will be sent a link to the teleseminar's recording, allowing you to go back on your own time to review the information shared during the seminar.

We designed the teleseminars with your busy schedules in mind, trying to keep the cost as low as possible and utilizing technology to bring together attendees and presenters from around the globe. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

I like the idea of being able to have unlimited access to the recorded webinars. Will it also include the Q&A session?
If I sign up for a webinar and find that I can't attend will I still have access to the session?
How do I get on the email list to receive notifications of upcoming sessions?

The recorded webinars will include the entire Q&A session.

If you sign up, you do not have to be present at the actual teleseminar to have access to the recording. It would probably be more beneficial, since you can then ask your own questions, but it is not mandatory.

As soon as we have more details on the upcoming sessions, they will be posted here and on our Facebook Page.

Video shoppers are invited to join a group lunch (Dutch Treat) in the hotel restaurant at noon, on the SECOND day (SUNDAY) of the Chicago Conference. Leslie, of CE had offered to get there a bit early to try to get them to push some tables together. Since many of you will have seen Leslie at their sponsor table on the day before, or that AM, we will rally around her. We need a head count, please?

EDITED TO CHANGE THE DATE TO SUNDAY,when our lunch break will be longer.
