Ray beat me to posting this. I am going to miss the conference. I am going to be in Vegas for our Billiards League National Tournament the week after the conference. But I got a Restaurant.com certificate to BB King's Blues Club and Restaurant during the last 80% off sale. This one is for food and beverages!!

Have fun in Vegas everyone!!!

To those of you headed in town later this week for the upcoming conference, I checked the long term weather forecast and brace yourself for the heat.

We actually have been fortunate the past couple of days to get a bit of a break from the triple digits but according to the local news, the triple digits will be returning towards the end of the week and continue through next week.

Thanks Glori,
However, I will be leaving triple digit heat with high humidity and lots of smog for your dry heat. It will be something of a relief!

What Cilla said, it's currently 102 with 100% humidity here in Houston. Vegas will be refreshing.

Ditto Cilla and Meli, I am returning tonight from a 13-day road trip in the record heat back to Hotlanta. Coming to the dry heat of Vegas will be somewhat of a nice change, but I must remember to hydrate as the altitude and dry climate wreak havoc on my sinuses. See y'all there!

Alisa, you might want to give out tickets for that free meal.

Speaking of being hydrated... where is the most convenient place to buy a bottle or two of wine, etc.? Anyone with a car headed for the wine and liquor shop? hint, hint.

Right up the road from the Suncoast hotel is a Lee's liquor store that they recently opened up at the very convenient Boca Park Shopping Center.

Since I live very close to the area, (I am right in Summerlin), if anyone needs any suggestions of places close by in the area, let me know as I will be glad to help

Good idea, Pam. Although, most of what I am doing is to be done before the conference even starts. Hmmm, still a good idea for the one I have to do Monday evening.... I'll talk to you more about it when I see you in a few days.

Hi everyone:

I wanted to offer some suggestions of local restaurants in the area that is really close by to the Sun Coast.

At nearby Boca Park, you have some great choices:
Cheesecake Factory
Kona Grill
Jasons Deli

Also not too far is Redrock Casino which has some great restaurants as well including a fantastic buffet

If any of you are familiar with a restaurant that according to my hubby is quite famous on the East coast called the Yardhouse, they have one that recently opened up at the RedRock Casino which I hear has awesome burgers not to mention a great selection of

Enjoy your stay here in Las Vegas and am looking forward to meeting you!

GloriM - Thanks for posting that. Have you tried the restaurants at the Suncoast?

I don't know if these are useful, but here is the link to the Las Vegas page for Groupon. The deal changes every day.

Here is a direct link to the Las Vegas Entertainment Book.

For those of you contemplating taking a cab from the airport, in the event the shuttle times do not coincide with your arrival time, I have checked out car rental prices, and starting at $23 for the day, you can rent a car.
Don't forget to use the discount codes found at http://forum.volition.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=80941 .

Yay! I'm excited that there will be a conference closer to me next year - not that I don't love going to Vegas.

Love, love, love a more easterly location for a spring conference!

I would not have returned to LV for a third conference but look forward to a Florida site!

What sort of deal have you managed to get on the hotel price, please? Inquiring minds want to know!
