I have experience doing this. How low is low? Send me an email if you want to rather than post it here. Do they pay mileage and do you have any idea how many hours a week? Is it during the week and weekend hours? Thanks.

Does Premium pay overtime, if you go over 40 hours in a week? Technically by law they have to but do they figure a way around this? Just curious because I have over 40 hours this week.

Federal Labor laws only require to pay overtime for hours over 40 if the job position is classified as "non-exempt". Most likely it is classified as such as all merchandiser/retail services jobs I have heard of are "non-exempt". However, if yours is classified as "exempt", they are not obligated by law.

I would also make sure that you contact your supervisor before you think you will go over 40 hours in a given week because every company I work for and have worked for strictly does not allow it unless approved by the DM, which is rare and only approved under very special circumstances. Paying overtime is very costly for merchandising companies and it is usually a HUGE issue with them.

Premium has paid me overtime, but it was pre-approved by my RMM. I told her in advance that I was going to be over 40 hours, and she approved me to go up to 45. I do not know how it works if you do not have advance authorization. I would recommend calling your RMM, and seeing if they can approve it.

Thanks Guys. Yes my RMM is aware of me going over 40 hours, and told me that it was ok.

To the lady that wrote the long letter, why did you delete it, it was great to hear positive things about Premium.

That is very strange to have a positive letter deleted! Would have been interesting to have read.

We are recruiting big time now for some great jobs so if you are interested let us know. Some are PT and some can lead to FT just go to the web sight and fill out an application or send me an email if you have questions. Who doesn't like extra $$$ for the holidays?

Arla, what about the people that already work for Premium? I haven't had a job since Aug When all I got was Discover jobs thatwere 40+ miles one way for me I'm not a zone merchandiser. When are we going to get any work?

Sorry Sue, I have to agree those Discover jobs are a joke for what they pay and expect us to drive and no mileage reimbursement! I love my job but I don't always agree with everything that they do. I was told I had to reapply for my job last fall and get a smart phone to keep my job..I DID and I was told we would get paid incentives to make up for it too, every quarter. Well this is the 2nd quarter and I haven't received squat! So I am paying $30 a month extra for something I don't need or use.

If you want a job apply at Premium and they have work but don't expect to be appreciated unless you work in the office...they throw them parties.

I already work for Premium, I didn't apply for zone merchandiser as they have a Husband/wife team in my area and they both have smart phones, and at the time he told me that he was applying for the zone mechandiser job, which he and his wife got. I talked to him the other day and he says he hasn't used his smart phone much for them and that from all the stores he was doing, they are mainly down to just wm's lately. So sounds to me like premium has lost work in other stores. at least in my area.

As a zone specialist we had to have phones and reapply for our jobs. I went out got a phone, spend the extra $30 a month for service and I don't get anything for it! I never use it. I have used it maybe twice in the last 6 months but I have received nothing as far as the zone specialist pay we were suppose to receive! Company costs me money!

I did work for Premium several years ago when they had work with a major
consumer products company. I haven't heard from them since. The regional manager in my area had her family working for her.
This comment interested me. Do they really do mystery shopping?

Arla, just wondering, have you signed up for the 16 percent discount that you get with Att&t, that is if that is your carrier, I have it....sure makes a difference. Premium has offered this to their reps for years. For me it amounts to about $33 per month.

Sue, Good thing you didn't take Zone Specialist job we haven't got a dime for it! We are paying the extra money to have the phone service and they owe us big time! That was a stipulation for us to keep our jobs too, to have those phones! Maralyn, I do not have AT&T because it doesn't have great reception out here in the country. Besides that I won't shift my entire life around a company that doesn't give a rats ass about me for a phone discount. Once again my RMM will get email because I stepped out of line on here! But this is America and the people want the truth. That's why we have these sights so leave KM alone please! I will tell her myself!
