I've yet to see anyone saying they are paying that much anywhere. If they aren't paying it in Los Angeles, I can't imagine where they would be. lol And they certainly are obviously not paying 2.00 an hour more than Driveline is paying out here either.

I found this on NARMS:
Company: TNG
Hours: NOT DISCLOSED
Start Date: Fri Apr 18, 2014
Pay Range: $10.00 - $12.00 an hour
Location: See List several available, TX
Description:
Merchandiser needed to work project in Walmart.

Start immediately - project runs through a minimum June
$10.00 - $12.00 an hour
Weekly service of several product lines
Average time in store 1 -2 hours
Survey/picture entered on Smart phone
Service anytime Mon - Wed

TNG pays every other week, direct deposit available.

To apply www.apply2jobs.com/tng Search for ME5992

If you search through the job posts on www.apply2jobs.com/tng you will see that the pay varies greatly. It looks like they pay based upon what you service for them rather than what you are worth. I guess it depends on how much the client is willing to pay for service.

It appears they have taken over HDA's contract at Michael's store, because I saw a rep from TNG, the same rep, at both of my Michael's stores last week. I wouldn't mind a little extra work, but for merchandising, I won't even consider less than $10 an hour, and I have to be able to set my own hours.

I see that in my state/area TNG is paying $10/hr. That's a little less than what HDA was paying, but good enough for the work in lowes and michaels, seeing how I like the stores.

Problem is, they have not posted an ad for my specific town yet, but they do have ads for larger cities around my town.

Do any of you TNGer's have any advice on how to apply to TNG for my local town? Shoudl I just apply for the requisition in the closest city they have listed and specify in a cover letter what town(s) I am looking to pick-up work in?

Thanks, but that's not what I was asking. Again, thanks anyway.

Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake, at least I'm done with merchandising... for goodness sake.

That's really funny because in lower cost-of-living areas they seem to pay more than in the higher COL areas. Very interesting. I think they set wages according to population rather than COL. In other words, the higher the population the more applicants there are therefore the lower they pay.

They left me a phone message, saying they got my name from NARMS.
The message said starting pay was $8.00 an hour doing work in Michaels & Lowes.
I don't think so. My state is a low wage state so that maybe what they are going by, not population, thats for sure.

I saw a different TNG rep at Michael's last week than I did the week before, and I wonder why. Did the first guy give up because of the low pay? $10 an hour I would consider, but not less than that.

Are they paying flat rate/variable rate like HDA used to?

I work for Readerlink whose book merchandising is being taken over by TNG. We were told that our hourly rate of 9.75 would stay in place. Whether it does or not is a different story.

I saw a box of magazines with TNG on it for magazines while I was servicing Micheals this week for books.

I see TNG workers all the time in Walmart putting out magazines. They say the pay is really lousy. I know it's not $10 hr around here. Probably more like $8 or so.
