3 TBS olive oil
3 cloves garlic
12 oz can Tomato Paste
1/2 tsp Basil
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
1/2 tsp Red Pepper
29oz can LaMonica Scungilli
- 14oz liquid from scungilli can
- drained scungilli
Optional: 1 lb cooked pasta or 1 loaf Italian Bread
Put oil in sauce pan. Fry garlic. Add tomato paste and fry the paste a bit.
Add everything else except drained scungilli. Simmer covered for 30 minutes on low heat.
Add scungilli and cook only till heated.
Serve over pasta or as is with a loaf of bread for dipping.
